The Yuba River and Nevada CIty's Scotts Flat Lake are each only 10 minutes away and the North Shore of Lake Tahoe is an hour. Come now and you might be lucky to get a light dusting of snow, Spring is almost here and the daffodils and quince are already blooming and the frogs are singing. In the early Summer, the spectacular Yuba River is a beautiful place to hike, or settle in on a huge boulder and watch the water go by. In July through early September when the water warms up, there is no better place to be but the Yuba and Scotts Flat Lake, which is also 10 minutes away and is great for kayaking, sailing, swimming and picnicking. Nevada County is famous for its Fall colors and you don't even have to leave our property to see a gorgeous display of brilliant colors. Reserve some time now to stay at Honeycomb Ranch in the Spring, Summer or Fall before it gets all booked up.
BTW, Winter is gorgeous also and full of old fashioned street fairs
and close to ski-ing.
If you like outdoor activities, relaxing, eating gourmet food, theater, musical events including classical music festivals that rival San Francisco and shopping in boutiques, and/or sitting quietly reading a book or meditating while watching birds soaring overhead, you will enjoy staying at Honeycomb Ranch while taking in all that Nevada County has to offer.
