I stayed for a long weekend at the Funky Carriage House in Woodstock, New York. I was very taken by the charm and quaintness of the place and the location cannot be beat! You cannot ask for a better deal for your money, especially for such a wonderful place in such an amazing location. Located right in the heart of town in Woodstock, you can walk out your front door and take a short stroll to galleries, shopping, great restaurants, and night life. You can leave your car in the private driveway and walk just about anywhere you want to go.
The carriage house is oozing with charm, from the cathedral ceilings, exposed beams, and great wood floors on the sunlight filled second story, to the tiled floors and cozy feeling downstairs with the great big screen tv, the place is comfortable, quiet, and clean. The upstairs kitchen has all the conveniences you could ask for with a dishwasher, washer/dryer combo, microwave, full stove, etc.
There is nothing the owners forgot in this place. There are two flat screen televisions (one upstairs and one down), two comfortable queen size beds with clean and lovely bedding, a great sectional downstairs to sprawl out and watch tv or listen to tunes on the tv with built in Ipod dock…cool! Not to mention your own private yard! Fenced in and private, there are exquisite gardens, a deck area with table and chairs, and barbeque for grilling on summer nights. There is a clean and comfortable full bath upstairs with Jacuzzi tub, along with another full bath downstairs, and everything you need at your disposal. From plenty of extra towels and linens, to kitchen supplies and even an iron and ironing board…all you really need for a weekend are your clothes!
I would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends. The owners are extremely nice and will be sure to take great care of you. This is nicer than any hotel room around, and has way more to offer!
Our first trip to NY from Iowa was awesome. There can be not better location to stay in Woodstock than the Carriage House!

This was a great place for a weekend getaway. We felt right at home and were impressed with how clean and well maintained everything was. It is not easy to find pet friendly vacation spots and it was great that we didn't have to leave our dog, 'Trouble'

We cooked an awesome BBQ dinner, swam in the frigid yet refreshing 'Big Deep' swimming hole, milled about the Flea Market and generally enjoyed all that this charming locale has to offer. Thanks for making this weekend quite memorable. You're a gem!
What a beautiful, little house. Perfect for the Film Festival. Everything was perfect. We surely recommend it!
