Large and relaxing family rental with incredible direct ocean and inlet views. Situated at the very northern end of Barnegat Light, this home sleeps 11, and has a reversed living floor plan. Downstairs has 4 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. 2 of the bedrooms face the ocean, and have sliding glass doors to decks. 2 downstairs bedrooms have 2 twin beds, one has bunk beds with a trundle, and one has a queen bed. Upstairs is a large master bedroom with a king bed and en-suite bathroom. Also upstairs is the open plan living room, dining room and kitchen. With windows all around, and a wrap around deck, there isn't a spot that doesn't have commanding ocean views. The deck has a dining room table for al fresco dining for 10, and teak arm chairs for taking in the views. Up a further set of stairs you reach the roof deck, which has 360 degree views of the island, from the bay to the ocean, including a beautiful view of the lighthouse. Renters to supply sheets, bath towels and beach towels.

Barnegat Light is a quiet, peaceful town at the very northern end of Long Beach Island. Less commercial than other parts of the Island, it is nonetheless self-sufficient, with its own fish market, grocery store, restaurants and charming antique shops. Famous for its lighthouse, 'Old Barney,' its beautiful architecture, including some houses from the 1800's, as well as its gorgeous, wide beaches, Barnegat Light is the perfect place for a family vacation. Offering great biking, fishing, boating and of course swimming and surfing means there's something for everyone! The house is located 5 blocks from the lifeguard beach at 9th street. The easiest and quickest way to get there is on the free tram that takes you right down there! It's a 5 minute walk from the house to Barnegat Light - the historic lighthouse, and from the inlet and jetty. The house is a block away from The Inlet Deli, and a few more blocks takes you to Mustache Bill's diner, and all the other great spots in town!

Notes: The whole house was just repainted and new carpet put in upstairs. Rentals are from Saturday to Saturday. Weekend rentals may be possible in the off season. Please inquire! The house has wifi, and there is a computer and printer in the master bedroom (Mac!). Walk to everything from this house! Best of all worlds! Quiet location, yet easy access to the beach, and walk to everything!

Best vacation home rental experience ever

We have rented vacation homes many times, and this was by far our best experience. The owners were incredibly helpful in providing overview information on the house/area and were generous with their time answering questions and making sure we had what we needed. The home was thoughtfully outfitted...what a treat to have a Mac & WiFi, lots for kids to do, as well as a kitchen that was ready for anything.
We were amazed by the sweeping views and best possible location. We were relieved to find that it was a comfortable house - nice and clean and not a museum where we were afraid to touch things or sit on the furniture. We loved watching the shooting stars at night from the roof deck & being able to allow the kids to ride their bikes to get ice cream and have some independence. Living at this home was a pleasure and just easy. We hope to return!

Perfect Location For A Beach Getaway

The pictures of the view from the house don't do it justice. All decks look directly on to Barnegat Lighthouse State Park. The house was exactly as described and the owner could not have been more accommodating. I would definitely recommend this location to a friend and look forward to returning in the future.

the pictures and the description provided in the add was accurate. Kitchen was well equiped for cooking (everything and even more was available). I would recommend this house, for the location very close to the lighthouse (wonderfull view; free view on almost 240°); lot of space; 2 mn walk to a deli and 3 restaurants or snack; furniture could be "refreshed" but you feel very confortable to spend time in the house rather than on the beach. The cleaning was not perfect, we had to do some cleaning on the very first day. The owner provides a lot of valuable information.
Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and we're so happy that you had a great stay and enjoyed the house. I wish that you had let me know about the less than perfect cleaning job; We would have sent the cleaners back to redo the job! That's really unacceptable, and I have talked to our property manager to make sure that never happens again! But we're glad that your vacation was a good one, and you liked the house! Hope your trip back to Germany was peaceful,
