Pear Tree Cottage is our dog friendly cabin in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina located between Boone and Blowing Rock. It has central air conditioning and heating. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and there is a queen Areobed for two extra people. There are satellite TVs in each room as well as VCR/DVD and CD player. There are games (darts, jigsaw puzzles, cribbage), books, video tapes, DVDs and CDs for your enjoyment. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a washer and dryer in the laundry closet. Although the cottage is set in the countryside, you will find excellent restaurants, shopping and activities very close by. The towns of Boone and Blowing Rock are only 10 minutes in either direction. Access to Pear Tree Cottage is easy, it is located less than 200 yards off a scenic country road.

Flat Top Manor in Moses H. Cone Park (free admission) houses Southern Highland Craft Shop. Within walking distance is Yonahlossee Saddle Club offering short term livery (ask for details). For your and the children's enjoyment there is gem mining, Tweetsie Railroad and go-karts nearby. Behind the famous Mast General Store in Valle Cruses, you can rent a horse for a trail ride through the countryside. Appalachian State University offers summer concert series, Blowing Rock hosts Art in the Park several Saturdays through summer and early fall. Both Blowing Rock and Boone offer live theater performances and there is a fabulous farmers market in Boone!
