This beautiful custom home is on the beach just behind the dune, bordered on two sides by water, and there are ocean or river views from every bedroom. Within a hundred yards of an undeveloped bird sanctuary and not in a subdivision, you can see a wide variety of wildlife including turtles, dolphins, and manatees. Enjoy swimming in the warm water, world class fishing, and if you are a surfer, Sebastian Inlet is only a few miles away. Magnificent sunrises and sunsets over the water. The house is furnished with an eclectic mix of fine antiques and mid century modern furniture, combined with original artwork collected over many years of travel and creatively presented. We had a superb week in this wonderful house. It outdoes the description and is just perfect in every respect. It is a real home. The sounds and view of the sea are uninterrupted by any extraneous noise and the house is so comfortable it is an effort to leave it. The area is very civilised and the restaurants are excellent. We were allowed total privacy. The kitchen is very well equipped and the beds incredibly comfortable. We saw some wonderful sunsets from the jetty on the other side of the quiet road and sunrise was amazing from the master bedroom window. 100% recommended.

Awesome beach house... This is defintely a piece of heaven...

It is hardly to find words to subscribe this wonderful place. We spent one week over Xmas with our 3 kids in this beautiful beach house. It is not a rental house as you might think of. We felt being home just from the first steps into the house. Everything was so well prepared and so lovely decorated. The entire house is a big piece of art. If you look up a design book of beach style interior you might find this house. Although it is a beach house it is so easy to keep the sand out of the house. The kids took their daily showers after the beach outside, with even warm water. Towels and shampoo were avail. which made everything so easy. This house is definetely a 6 plus star house. Never stayed in something similar before. Thanks again Joanna and Stewart for sharing this brilliant and wonderful place with us. It was so relaxing for all of us. We would love to come back anytime.

Beautiful House in a Great Location and Great Owners

My family - wife a two kids - as well as my parents, stayed at this house over Xmas 2011 and had an incredible time. The house is beautiful - the setting, the design and the decorating of wonderful art. It is a peaceful place - with the nature reserve beach right next door - while at the same time there is just enough to do each day to stay entertained. Fish off the dock, visit Sebastian State Park, go for dinner at the Ocean Grill and stroll the beach for hours.
Stewart was great to deal with - both helpful and true to his word. The house was exceptionally clean when we arrived and we had all we needed. We fell in love with Florida and this area.

A Luxurious Beach Sanctuary!

Our week here was probably the best beach vacation EVER! The beach is incredible - you're right next to a natural area and so you can walk forever feeling like you're practically on your very own beach. And the house!! The pictures don't begin to do it justice. It is filled with art and inspiration - a place that a magazine like 'Architectural Digest' would like do a story on. And it has every comfort of home but with finer sheets and linens. We loved our time here. Thank you so much!!

We enjoyed staying in this beautiful art-filled home. Beautiful quiet beach to walk & shell. Pristinely clean. Everything there you could want or need for a wonderful vacation. Owners are extremely helpful & nice. It is about a 20 minute drive to shopping and restaurants. I hope we can return next year!
