Spend the mornings sipping your coffee on one of the porch swings while watching the hummingbirds dance their fanciful dance. A small spring fed creek provides a restful babble as it flows beside the master bedroom and the porch. During the day, there are streams to fish and swim in, trails to hike and water falls to discover. At night, the stars are right there ready to be plucked from the sky, and the slot machines at the casino are ready to be played. No matter what the time of day, or what the weather, there is always something to do. Even if it is just sitting back on the porch again, watching the view change.

Tsali mountain biking; raft and kayak the Nantahala; tube Deep Creek; ride the Smokey Mountain Railroad in Bryson City; hike in the Smokey Mountain National Park; win big at the Casino in Cheroke; water sports on Lake Fontana; antique in Franklin, Bryson City, Dillsboro; Drive the Blue Ridge Parkway and have lunch at the Pisquah Inn; Visit the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, Gatlinburg, Pidgeon Forge, and Dollywood in TN; bike ride in Cades Cove looking for deer, turkey and bear; fly fish/fish the many streams in the area, especially in the Smokey Mountain National Park; and when you are tired and can go no more, there are all types of restaurants in nearby Bryson City.

restful retreat

The rental was spacious and all the amenities of home were available. The mountains are wonderful in the mornings. I really enjoyed reading my Bible, sipping my coffee while enjoying the wonders which are the western Carolina mountains. I would recommend this rental highly to anyone looking for a restful, quiet getaway. A great place to eat is the Iron Skillet in downtown Bryson city as well as the Chinese restaurant called Yummy Yummy. They have a great all you can eat buffet with crab-legs on Fridays and Saturdays.

An excellent vacation

My family has stayed here more than once and we will continue to come back each year. The views are wonderful and the cabin is very clean and efficient. There is plenty to do to keep the kids busy. This cabin is very private, but still close enough to the best tourists' spots. I would reccomend white water raftiting down the Nantahala River and tubing down Deep Creek. My kids also enjoy gem mining at several of the close mines. Don't forget to visit Cherokee as well. That too is a quick drive.

Better than expected...

This was a wonderful cabin, very clean and well stocked. The pictures do not do this cabin justice. The kids had a great time exploring and just doing the simple things like roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. Excellent views of the mountains! The sunsets were breathtaking. The hummingbirds and babbling creeks were literally at every turn. Not too far away from attractions and amenities, but secluded enough for peace and tranquility. This was definitely a memorable vacation, and we WILL be back again.
