SECLUDED, EXOTIC, OCEAN-VIEW RETREAT WITH PRIVATE LAGOON POOL

Kainalu House Rental Photos and Description

House, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

Retreat to Paradise on Molokai at "Hale Lei Lani" (House of Heavenly Spirit) where time stands still and Aloha is alive and well! Enchanting, mystical, romantic, setting with incredible ocean views and tropical swaying palms that will leave you breathless! A Garden of Eden with fruits such as mango, papaya, bananas, passion fruit, oranges, tangelos, lemons, and limes are yours for the picking during season.

Located on the lush east end of Molokai in the Pukoo area, known by many as the "Bora Bora" of the Hawaiian Islands. A short tropical stroll from your own private pool, takes you to one of the most beautiful secluded beaches in all the islands.

Recently renovated and custom designed to provide you with the most comfortable vacation experience possible, Magical "Hale Lei Lani" is somewhere between heaven and earth and a place where dreams are made. This is a perfect place for couples, quiet, romantic, peaceful, serene and private and yet a view that is wonderful.

Imagine waking to a glorious rainbow-colored sunrise over the ocean and planning your first day in paradise. Will you lounge by your own private lagoon pool surrounded by rare and tropical plants or take a short walk to a secluded beach for a morning swim where you will likely be the only ones there. Our location also gives you a wonderful opportunity to pack a romantic picnic lunch and follow our road to Halawa Valley, perhaps a hike to the falls where the views and scenery are incredible.

Just a few comments from our Guests:

The guest house softly emenates beauty, refinement and tranquility. Nestled on a hillside overlooking the ocean, you are surrounded by colorful flowers, trees, and birds. A wonderful sense of well-being settles gently... Betty

What a treat!! This spacious get-away has it all, and should be your first choice for a place to stay on molokai. Fred

PRIVACY IN PARADISE!

  • 5 of 5
We loved our vacation at this very private guest house. The house was charming and felt luxurious, airy, bright and very clean. It felt great to walk around in a bathing suit. I felt so pampered there from dipping in the private pool to eating oranges from the trees. From the lanai we saw whales spouting. I swam in the private pool every morning and night. We took the kayak to the beach only a few minutes away. The beach felt private. There were plenty of provisions in the house from towels and lotions to bar-be-cue and snorkel gear, chaise by the pool and hammock in the back yard. Town was a distance to drive but we didn't even want to go more than once. Molokai and this house spoiled me!

WE HAD AN AMAZING TIME - A+++

  • 5 of 5
Aloha, We want to thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful Molokai home. The pre-arrival communication was terrific. The house was easy to find, clean and was nicely furnished (exactly as advertised). It was a good based of operations for us to tour the rest of the island. We especially enjoyed the Hike and tour in Kalaupapa - the highlight of our trip (we passed on the Mules)! Great places to eat nearby including Paddlers Inn & Molokai Burger.
We recommend this house without reservation!!
Wish we were able to stay longer!

PARADISE!

  • 5 of 5
My wife and I celebrated our 30th anniversary by staying 10 days at this wonderful home. Everything you need is at hand, the views are spectacular, and we found the location to be very convenient. Yes, you are an island away from the lights and glitz of Maui or Oahu, but that is exactly the reason we so enjoyed our stay. Not a single "brand name" restaurant was seen during our stay, but we found the local store/hot food counter (an easy 1/4 mile walk away), along with the the bakery and pizza place in town (16 miles away) more than satisfactory for our need for "cuisine".

We hiked beautiful trails, strolled many secluded beaches, biked aboard our tandem road bike, and sunned at the pool. Relaxation was accomplished, wine and home-prepared food was consumed, and we can't wait to return!

MOLOKAI NO KA OI

  • 5 of 5
What a beautiful and relaxing place to stay on a beautiful and relaxing island. This was our first trip to Molokai and we are smitten. The friendly people, the beaches and the serenity of the island were only enhanced by the pool house.

The house is in a perfect location, with nearby beaches and "Mana’e Goods and Grinds" within walking distance. We were there during mango season and had only to pick them off the trees.

The pool house is well appointed and pool was the perfect size for just the two of us after a day on the beach.

We especially enjoyed listening to the the Giants games over the internet and having refreshments while dinner was cooking on the bar b que.

Thank you Amy for sharing you lovely house with us and we hope to return as soon as we can.

BEAUTIFUL WELL-MAINTAINED GROUNDS AND HOUSE

  • 5 of 5
My husband, my parents, and I stayed in the main house on this property from 2/17/12 - 2/22/12. My husband and I stayed in the guest house last year. The grounds around both are beautifully and tastefully landscaped. The view of the channel to Maui and Lanai were incredible. Both times we sat on the porch or deck and watched the whales. All the other houses I looked at renting on the east end were either on the road or on the ocean side. Both these houses sit in behind a large lot, on the hillside. This gives them an elevation with the incredible view and keeps noise to a minimum. I was very glad that I had spent a few more dollars and gotten so much more. The guest house has a small pool, the main house a smaller pool, both adequate to cool down after a nice walk. The property is on the east end which is greener than the west and more rural. Both houses are impeccably decorated. I kept noticing small touches that added beauty throughout. The main house has two bedrooms each with an attached bathroom. There is a large, high main room between. The guest bedroom is down a hall, and up a few stairs. This arrangement gives two couples more than adequate privacy. The deck stretches the length of the house with large glass sliding doors the whole way. Wherever you go in the main room or master bedroom the view follows. The guest bedroom has windows with an equal view. The kitchen and dining area had everything you could possibly want to cook with. The guest house is smaller and more intimate. The 2 bedrooms are off the main room. The kitchen here too had all you needed to cook. The view from the porch was better than any of the photos could capture. My husband and I rented a pickup truck the first year, and an SUV this year. The right of way to the house can get muddy so you need a vehicle which has a good clearance from the ground. We explored Molokai from this base. The Molokai Fish and Dive was wonderful in setting up several activities for us. We hiked in the Halawa valley, down (and up) to the Kalapaupa penninsula, and the 3 mile long beach on the west end. We went on whale watching boat trips and visited the small beach down the road from the property. We went to the farmers' market on Saturday morning. If you are looking for fancy restaurants, night life, and crowded beaches, Molokai will not be right for you. If you are looking for peace, quiet, beauty, and a release from stress, I highly recommend staying at this property. God willing, we will be back.
