This flat offers upscale living in the most central part of London. It serves as owner’s pied-à-terre when in London.
Refurbishment in 2013: Brand-new appliances, marble, leather furniture and other contemporary designer fixtures.
AREA: Soho is the area between Oxford St to the North, Regent St to the West, Leicester Sq to the South and Charring Cross to the East. The area to the West is Mayfair, to the North Fitzrovia, to the East St Giles's and Covent Garden and to the South St James's. Chinatown is sometimes considered part of Soho.
For personal and professional reasons we spend a few weeks per year in London. Just in between major metro stops of Picadilly and Oxford Circus, it also takes us 10 min to go to St Pancras train station where we hop on the eurostar train to Paris.
We love being in this flat, high up in the sky, bathing in light, having no noise while being in the center of dynamic London. We arranged the flat with all kinds of luxuries for our own comfort and yours. Also we have best food stores of London and trendy nightlife around the corner.
We really enjoyed our time here. The location is perfect, you can walk to all the tourist areas and it's close to the tube. The neighborhood is lively,Mitch cafes, bars and restaurants, plus terrific shopping within a block or two. The common areas of the building are not gorgeous, but the apartment itself is very comfortable with everything you need for a few days stay. It also is quiet despite the noisy neighborhood, maybe because it's so high up.
I have rented Paul's apartment since 2010 multiple times and spent more than 3 months time there.
To me this is the perfect spot for visit to London.
I spent wonderful hours just staring out of the huge windows overlooking London!
No better location imaginable in central London . You are in the middle of the theatres, stores, restaurants and sights, while being totally quiet . Because it’s the top floor of one of the very rare high-rises of this part of central London. Two big elevators.
A fully equipped kitchen, coffee, juice makers; small extra’s provided (tea, soap, cleanex, dishwasher soap etc) are nice.
I-pod station, hifi, large TV screen, dvd, fast broadband, beautiful furnitures. Awesome bathroom with a rain shower. The bedroom has one of the most comfortable mattresses I slept on. Perfectly clean, and the greeter was pleasant. He lives nearby and has been helpful also during my stay.
Do not hesitate to rent, things are as promised, hope this review helps
This upscale and exquisite 16th floor penthouse flat made our time in London absolutely magical. I can't say enough about the stunning views from this impeccable and contemporary high rise penthouse. You don't even need to go on the London Eye because you are staying in your own private London Eye - where coincidentally, you have a view of the London Eye. The location of this flat in the hip and trendy SOHO district of London couldn't be better. We walked everywhere and found the best shopping, coffee shops (try a flat white at Tap Coffee), and restaurants all within blocks of the flat. This penthouse is so stylish and the kitchen is fully equipped and has all the essentials needed for cooking. We also enjoyed having a dishwasher and full fridge. The view from the entire living room and glass bar adjacent to the kitchen is truly stunning. The bathroom is luxurious with its modern shower and heated towel racks. The bedroom's king size bed with Tempur mattress is incredibly comfortable and restful. At travel guru Rick Steve's advice, we watched some late night reality television (on 30" TV) from the comfort of the inviting king size bed to cure our jet lag (and the advice worked).
We had the most incredible time in London and this marvelous flat and its location was a significant factor in our complete contentment with our vacation. After a busy day seeing the sights of London, coming back to this distinctive, quiet and safe flat with its marvelous views and modern comforts was wondrous. I absolutely recommend this penthouse and would stay here again and again. I hope you will consider it too. I assure you that you will not be disappointed.
We just concluded a week stay at the Penthouse. We have been traveling to London for 25 years, first business and since retirement for pleasure. More recently we have rented flats because the upscale hotels have become very costly. The Penthouse met all our expections and was exactually as described and depicted on the Internet with an outstanding view of the skyline of London at night. It is very comfortable, secure, and great location. We use taxies and they are always available closer to the flat, although be ready to explain the flat location on returning since even the London Cabies are not knowledgeable of the flat street. There are many great restaurants near by, a liquor/wine store accross the street and a limited grocery store within 3 blocks. The TV is high tech and the wifi is high speed and fully dependable. When we come back to London we will stay at the Penthouse.
I very much enjoyed staying at the Dufours Place flat during my wonderful recent visit to London. The flat--its layout, its amenities, its central location and, certainly, the great views it offers of London--completely satisfied my needs during my stay there. As a single traveler the one bedroom flat, with its comfortable double bed, modern shower, wireless connection, washer/dryer and fully equipped kitchen, was perfect for me. There is no question I will be a return guest.
After staying at expensive hotels in Victoria on previous trips to London, I decided to try renting a more centrally located flat for my recent three-week stay, and am extremely glad I found this place.
The biggest impact was the incredible view to the east, of the City, St. Paul's, and Canary Wharf out the large windows from high up on the 15th floor. Views like this are rare in London, and whenever friends stopped by for drinks they were blown away. Even looking out while sipping my morning coffee was a thrill I never got tired of.
The flat is exactly as described, well appointed with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Having a washer/dryer was really convenient during my longer stay. The location is excellent, convenient to all sorts of attractions in central London, and yet the flat has a secluded feel due to being on a small court and high up. It was a pleasure dealing with the owner Paul, and the local caretaker Nick was very responsive to the few questions I had (he also went out of his way to get the place ready for an early arrival).
The flat has a sleek cooktop and also a microwave oven, but no conventional oven so you won't be cooking roasts; but with with so many restaurants in the area (including a tapas place used in the filming of an episode of "Sherlock"!), who cares? Also, right now there is a building going up two blocks away, creating some noise during the day. London is a dynamic place, and you'll see construction cranes all over.
All in all, I was very pleased to stay here, and hope to again on my next trip to London.
