Wildflower Cottage is the perfect setting for a romantic weekend getaway or an entire week of relaxation. Located just outside of Chimney Rock, this very cozy & comfortable cottage is nestled back in the woods, yet right off of the main highway leading into downtown Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, and through the entire Hickory Nut Gorge. Relax in the 6 person hot tub on the deck, and enjoy beautiful views of Chimney Rock while the steaks cook on the gas grill, and then enjoy a quiet, peaceful dinner on outdoor patio set. Build a fire in the fire pit just below the deck & lay back in the large hammock and gaze at the stars and the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. You may not want to leave once you’re here, and we are sure that you’ll want to come back to Wildflower Cottage.

Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, is the 'Hickory Nut Gorge' which is comprised of four very small communities - Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, Bat Cave & Gerton. Here you'll find some of the most incredible beauty and serenity ever seen. National Geographic Magazine voted Lake Lure as 'one of the 10 most beautiful man-made lakes in the world. Film location for 'Dirty Dancing' , this beautiful 756 acre lake is surrounded by the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains. One mile from Lake Lure is 'Chimney Rock Park' which should be one of the '7 Wonders of the World'. Spend an entire day (or two) hiking the trails to the bottom of a 75' natural waterfall, ride the elevator that takes you straight up through solid rock to the top of 'The Rock'. An absolute 'must see' for anyone coming to this area. Two miles further up the road are the quaint & quiet residential towns of 'Bat Cave' & 'Gerton'. You'll want to plan to stay awhile to 'take it all in'.
