We are located in the Great North Woods of New Hampshire. You don't have to leave the front porch to view foliage, wildlife and the entire Presidential Range. We are 5 minutes to both Forest Lake State Park and the Connecticut River, 15 minutes to Santa's Village and Six Gun City, 45 minutes to Story Land. We are also 15 minutes to downtown Littleton, voted one of America's Best Towns in 2005 by Outside Magazine. Whitefield is 10 minutes away and has a Summer Theater and the Mountain View Grand Hotel. 20 Minutes gets you to Bretton Woods or Cannon Mountain. Climb Mount Washington by car or ride the Cog Railway. 15 minutes to Bethlehem and great antiquing. North Conway is a 45 minute scenic drive through Crawford's Notch - be sure to plan time to stop and view the amazing waterfalls along the route. If you can't find anything in New Hampshire, Vermont is just across the Connecticut River. St. Johnsbury is a short 30 minute drive. There is something for everyone!
Other Activities: The choice is yours at our home. You can sit by the fire and read the entire day. Sit on the porch and contemplate life as you take in the entire Presidential Mountain Range. Start a fire in the outdoor fire pit surrounded by adirondak chairs (spring summer and fall) and cook smores. Or get out and hike the White Mountains. Local sights to see include Chutters, the longest candy counter in the world located in nearby Littleton. Littleton's famous Pollyanna is a bronze statue located downtown at the library. Children of all ages show anticipation during the short 25 minute drive to Santa's Village and Six Gun City. Mountain View Grand, Mt. Washington Hotel, Wamback, Maplewood and Bethlehem Country Club are all golf courses within a 30 minute drive. After a long day out or in, a must is relaxing in the hot tub on the deck. If you are lucky and have a clear night, be sure to look for the milky way and count the shooting stars.
