Great family vacation - great property in great location.

Just returned home to Chicago from a wonderful family vacation at this home. The home was just what we needed and is in a perfect location with easy access to I-77, restaurants, shopping, and great boating.
The home is just as described and is set up well for a vacation home. My kids enjoyed having their own space on the lower level and having bedrooms and a full bath on all 3 levels means everyone gets their own space. That said, the large, open kitchen and family room is perfect for getting everyone together for family time. The pictures shown are very accurate.
The view from the house and the dock is great. This home is perfectly situated in on the corner of an open cove with protected access to the dock (good for swimming and docking), but wide open views of the main channel. My son and I enjoyed getting up early and watching the sun rise from the upper level of the dock then heading by boat to Midway Marina for breakfast on the water. Just across the main channel is some great protected water for skiing, wakeboarding, and tubing. There are also islands with sandy beaches nearby which are good for anchoring and swimming.
The owner is friendly and great to work with and the water quality in the house was great, so it appears the filtering system is working perfectly. We experienced none of the issues mentioned in previous reviews.
My extended family drove in from nearby Winston-Salem for a day-long visit and loved it here as well. They were all asking for information and planning a stay there in the next year. I have no problems recommending this property for a great family getaway.
Great home + great location + great owner = great vacation.
