Our family of 8 stayed at the house for 4 days. We needed a place where we could be together as a family and still have "space" away from each other.
My husband was home from Iraq on his 2 week K-R so we decided to live out a dream of ours and visit Yellowstone. We had a wonderful time in the park and then headed back to the house for dinner. It was great to relax around the table.
We loved the Historic Home. It is designed almost like our Historic Home.
The kids would love to come back next summer. I guess we will have to see where the wind blows us.
10 of us stayed (ages 10-50) stayed at the Yellowstone Historic house in July 2014 while visiting Yellowstone. Prong Horn antelope and deer greeted us in the field across the street as we arrived and everyone immediately declared it the "dream house" within the first 10 minutes as we unpacked. Easy 1O min drive to Gardiner and the north gate of Yellowstone and Thom was very responsive and helpful with directions, grocery sources, and other local information requests. You will not be disappointed with this rental if you are looking for a spacious, beautiful and well equipped home base to explore Yellowstone.
8 of us (ages 10-75+) stayed at the Yellowstone Historic house while visiting Yellowstone. The house was perfect for our needs - the kitchen and grill were perfect for cooking meals at "home"; the 4 bedrooms and spacious sitting rooms gave us plenty of room to spread out and to enjoy each other's company. The large dining area was great for having meals together. Thom quickly sent someone to solve a small issue with the wifi and was very responsive to our call. Great proximity to the north gate of Yellowstone - Thanks so much for making our stay comfortable!
It is a great place to stay. Nice historical house that has been very well maintained. A lot of space in and outside the house. It is located in a valley, very close to the north entrance of Yellowstone park.
Our family has planned for our Yellowstone trip for a long time, and we are lucky to find this place to stay. It's beautiful and comfortable, we especially love the kitchen, which we used a lot. It's only about 5 minutes drive to the north gate, it snowed on the last day we stay, the view of the mountain top covered with snow looked better from the house than from the Park!
This was the perfect spot to bring a group of Austrian exchange students on their visit to Yellowstone. The location is fantastic, and this house definitely sleeps 14! We were all very impressed with the cleanliness, the well-equipped kitchen and the lovely surroundings. If you have a mid-sized group, you won't be disappointed with this house.
What a lovely place to enjoy coming back to after exploring Yellowstone for the past three days!
The beds were wonderful!
We saw all the animals on our bucket list except wolves! Even a badger and moose
Thanks for helping make our vacation awesome! This is truly “God’s” Country!
