Stunning, modern, log cabin. Breathtaking two story great room with enormous windows overlooking the pines. Only forty five minutes from Tucson. THIRTY DEGREES COOLER AND 6000 FEET HIGHER elevation make this the perfect getaway from the desert southwest all year long. Snow in the winter, 75 degree day time high in the summer. Completely different climate and biotic community. Watch the flora and fauna from the balcony as the cool breeze wisps away the worries of city life. 1/4 mile walk to numerous trailheads or the hamlet of Summerhaven. Two miles from skiing. Hike, mountain bike, rock climb, relax right out the front door. Don't feed the bears.
(This is a new listing and therefore currently has great availability!)
Cool weather in the summer, pine trees, incredible vistas; it's another world only 45 minutes up.
Our family was there to celebrate my granddaughter's birthday. She wanted to stay in a cabin on Mt. Lemmon for her birthday so we decided to try this one! Even though we had hoped for snow and did not have any that weekend, it was still a really nice weekend stay! The cabin was very spacious to accommodate us all and everything worked properly and we had everything we needed for our stay. We rode the ski lift and visited the shops that were near by. We were not strangers to the mountain but it was such a beautiful cabin and very enjoyable. We are looking forward to staying there again soon!
Family with children arriving at night and finding a plague of mice everywhere, also mice droppings, dirty fridge, dirty dining chairs, the sofa bed and some mattresses in disrepair, dirty sheets, the door knob fall to just touch
The mice dropping were found all over the cabin to include the kitchen drawers and on top of the counters. We had to clean the kitchen and the fridge before we were able to use it.
We do not have answer from the renter since we leave the house, no help no nothing.
This is unacceptable when you are paying hundreds of dollars a night to rent a property.
We feel that we were completely taken advantage of and We would not recommend this property!
All I see is an email listing, how do you contact the owner to rent the cabin for a weekend? Help!
I went up at the end of July for a weekend retreat with a few friends and had a FABULOUS time. We are actually planning another weekend this January.
Honestly, we were a bit wary from reading the most recent review, but our stay completely changed our minds! The cabin was spotless and had no pest problems that I was aware of. Which is surprising since it's in the woods! I was expecting some sort of furry guest..
Kitchen was fully stocked - pots, pans, dishes, silverware - the whole shebang. The bathrooms had plenty of towels and lots of bedding. It was nice not having to bring extra everything which I have had to do with other rentals.
The only thing that I noticed is that the driveway to the cabin is very steep. I was able to get up and down just fine in my small car, however when we decide to come back up, I'll probably bring my truck.
There are also a ton of trails nearby and even more within a 5 minute drive. However, our favorite was sitting out on that deck and checking out all the stars. I have never seen so many in my life!
Management was great, very friendly and accommodating. - Overall, I would definitely recommend this place for a fun weekend getaway.
upon arrival, upstairs toilet had to be plunged. Shower water pressure unacceptable ( almost a drip at full throttle), ants everywhere on first floor, floors had not been swept, mousetraps everywhere, kitchen stove and oven were filthy, kitchen utensils were of VERY poor quality for cost of rental. It was very difficult to reach the property manager with these issues. She responded > 24 hours after multiple attempts to contact her. Our party of three ended up leaving a day early, as the accommodations and lack of amenities were not worth the excessive cost. Most important to know: the property is NOT ACCESSIBLE by vehicle and the walk to the cabin was over uneven, rough terrain. Anyone with the slightest of health problems would not be able to reach the cabin ( i.e. any respiratory, back, or orthopedic problems. An elderly person would not be able to reach the cabin). In addition, NO TV, no washer, no grill. The listing did not accurately reflect the actual property
Had a wonderful stay at the cabin. I took my wife and daughter. Fireplace works amazing don't even need the heaters on with the fireplace going heats the whole cabin great. Cabin is close by Summerhaven and plenty of hiking trails near by. Cabin has plenty of room for everyone. Hope to go back soon. Definitely enjoy it's only about an hour from my house.
