So Nice...
This home is lovely and very comfortable. There are two cabins near the house but you still maintain your privacy. It is not a problem. We had 11 people in this home and everything was just fine. There are enough areas that each person could "do their own thing" and then we could come together. I found the kitchen well stocked and both bathrooms were immaculate. My brother was across the lake and he came by boat. As he docked, he commented that the dock was well made and easy to use. My nephews loved the paddle boat and kayaks. They were out there most of the time. My brother-in-law and mother took advantage of fishing of the dock and had some luck! just a nice getaway. We did go into Gatlinburg & do some touristy things for the nieces & nephews but we have been there so many times, we mostly wanted to enjoy the lake on this trip. Now I must caution, the road to this cabin is not to be taken lightly. It is very curvy, hilly and dangerous. You do not want to be running back and forth to town 3 or 4 times a day on this road. Stock up and settle in! By the way, there is a bit of an unusual tradition with this house, you need to add a coin or two to the fireplace wall. You'll see when you get there, but it is the coolest thing. The grill is charcoal, not gas to keep that in mind. Harder work, better flavor, its a trade off. Plenty of outdoor furniture and deck space to use it. If you don't want to walk the hill, we just drove my mother down to the dock. It is steep but no problem. You can launch from there if you need to. This listing was as described but the pictures do not do the view justice. it is stunning to wake up to that every morning. There is a set of bunkbeds in one bedroom on the main level. It also has a queen bed in it. This worked out perfect for my sister and her two boys. Jane Maynard was either online or on the phone answering any questions our group had. The house is wifi and has dish tv, understand it is a semi-remote area. We ate at Holston's in Sevierville this time and the food was delicious. They have a good variety on their menu. Of course we have our family tradition in TN, breakfast at Flapjack's in Kodak. We do that the last morning we are all together. I would rent this property again and again. If I could afford it & had the time I would rent for the whole summer. This home is the one you would build if you could. So comfortable.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments! We do our best to keep our cabin in top shape and our guests comfortable and happy for their entire vacation stay. Being from WV we are use to the curves and are able to pull our boat and trailers to the lake easily. We try to improve or add something special every year and this year was the boats, so glad you enjoyed!! We greatly appreciate you staying and hope to have you back again!
