There is a private entrance and patio with beautiful peaceful water and marsh views. This bright and tasteful, nautically decorated apartment has a king size bed, full bath with shower. Bring your binoculars to view the abundant marsh wildlife, and bring your bikes for riding and picnicking along the Cape Cod canal.

This property is located within an easy walk (1/5 of a mile) to a bay-side ocean beach, the famous boardwalk, and historic downtown Sandwich. Sandwich has plenty of shopping, antique shops, museums, and many local restaurants (several within walking distance).

Sandwich is the oldest town on Cape Cod. It is located on both sides of the Cape Cod Canal with the majority of its land mass on the southerly side. Sandwich beaches stretch for miles along Cape Cod Bay and provide a wonderful view on a clear day of the many vessels that pass through and near the Cape Cod Canal. Commercial fishermen and lobster men can be seen daily from the docks at the Sandwich Marina, the only harbor along the canal. Historic Sandwich Village which is a renowned tourist destination provides many glimpses into New England's rich colonial history. Visit the Hoxie House (the oldest house on Cape Cod), the Dexter Grist Mill, Heritage Plantation, the Thornton Burgess Museum, the Sandwich Glass Museum, and more. A jewel of this area is a seven mile barrier beach, Sandy Neck. If you are lucky enough to have a four wheel drive (with permit) you can drive out and enjoy the beautiful sand dunes.

This was our second visit to Cape Cod, and without a doubt one of our most memorable.

The location was a fantastic choice for our stay in Sandwich. The studio was exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated in a nautical theme. The comfortable furnishings, King size bed, and many amenities were much appreciated. Everything was provided that allowed for dining in, which we enjoyed in the evenings. The electric grill on the porch was great for meal preparation and then dining outdoors on the patio.

Our hosts, Nancy and Dan, were absolutely delightful and very hospitable. They were very attentive and are credited with making our stay so pleasant.

The location was simply superb. We were within walking distance to the beach, and the scenic boardwalk which traverses a beautiful Salt Marsh that can be viewed from the studio's patio. A great place to watch the ebb and flow of the tide and playful sea birds. Across the Marsh the scenic railway can occasionally be seen carrying passengers on a less physically demanding exploration of the area.

The historic town of Sandwich was a short scenic drive away from our home base. Being avid photographers and history buffs we found the town a wonderful mixture of historic architecture, museums, quaint shops, cafes in quiet picturesque neighborhoods. The fall colors added a gorgeous backdrop to the entire scene.

For those planning a first trip, or a repeat visit to Cape Cod a visit to Sandwich is a must. We guarantee you won't be disappointed.

The PERFECT vacation

This is the perfect little spot of relaxation for any couple. The homeowners are gracious, accommodating, and informative. We were able to check-in and check-out past regular hours and they had amazing restaurant selections. We felt at home right away :)

The beach, boardwalk, and canal are all within walking distance. Each of these places is scenic, relaxing, and picture perfect. The marsh behind back looks onto changes everyday so every time you look out back you have a different type of spectacular view, all of which are beautiful.

We had an amazing time and will definitely be back to stay here again!

Great Place to Stay in Sandwich

We have been coming to Sandwich and Cape Cod for over ten years, and this was by far the best place we have stayed in the area. Nancy and Dan were the perfect hosts and Blackie (their friendly Black Lab) greeted us each morning. The room is just as described, and the views of the tidal marsh are spectacular. It is a short walk
to the beach and boardwalk which we did several times. Two great bike rides are
the Canal path, particularly on the mainland side, and the newly extended
Shining Sea Trail. We liked the place so much that we will be renting again next
year.

We spent one week and enjoyed every single day, walking to the beach, walking to restaurants on the ocean, biking along the sea in Falmouth and on the canal in Sandwich, visiting the Heritage and glass museum, driving to Provincetown on the scenic road and sleep in that comfortable and cleaned studio, playing with Blackie and observing birds while having a glass of wine, the owners Dan and Nancy provided good service

Ideal Cape Cod Getaway

For anyone looking for a studio rental; this is one NOT TO BE MISSED!!! The owners, Nancy and Dan were welcoming and super hosts (along with their dog, Blackie) and had given every thought to making our stay a pleasant experience. This light and spacious studio was very clean; nicely decorated; well-kept gardens and grounds, with a beautiful view of the marsh and above average amenities. We enjoyed breakfast on the patio and quiet times sitting in the Adirondack chairs. We really liked the location which was close to the beach, Cape Cod Canal for nice walks and picnics; boardwalk; quaint cafes (we had found one on Rte. 6A that we really liked) to fine dining at the Daniel Webster Inn; historic sights; and easy access to other Cape towns for events, attractions and getting together with friends. We couldn's ask for a nicer vacation and highly recommend this superb studio. We hope to return.
