Family reunion in the Rockies

Wow- what an amazing home in an amazing setting! Unlike most of the homes down in the valley of Estes Park, this is perched up at a higher elevation on a generous property, resulting in indescribable views. New, clean and welcoming, this custom home has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Special touches include a kid sized playhouse furnished with toys in one of the rooms, and an excellent sound system in the home theater. Expansive decks capture the view, a fire pit is perfect for s'more making, and there is plenty of bedding to accomodate even more than suggested in the listing. The young family who own the home are friendly and helpful. They suggested we hike to Gem Lake. The trailhead is nearby with free parking, outside RMNP, but the majority of the trail is inside the park. It's uphill and rocky, but our group including 4 little ones in backpacks and a grandma, loved it. Nice boulder climbing is right outside the door as well! What a wonderful, all too short, vacation!!
