Greetings from Montana:
My wife and I would like to invite you to use our rustic ‘ol west cabin as your vacation home while you explore the wonders of Yellowstone Country.(Actually, there are TWO CABINS available for your use at the same low price!!) Our cabin is 'in town' but not 'up town.' It is a comfortable short walk to the entire community.
Why West Yellowstone and our Cabin(s)?
The MAIN CABIN is a 5 room, one bath ... cozy, clean, private single family residence that sleeps up to 5 quests(Queen Bed in master bedroom, Queen LazyBoy sofa-bed, Single Bed in extra-wide hallway/corridor room); the SECOND CABIN is our COWBOY BUNKHOUSE (A single room with a queen size bed, no bath, no TV). BOTH CABINS are located on the same large tree covered lot with ample parking; within 5 blocks of the towns many restaurants, shops, and attractions. It is ‘cost-friendly’ [same low rental rates applies through-out the season]. Over the years we have made major upgrades, especially to the kitchen and bath of the MAIN CABIN, while trying to maintain the rustic charm. We recently replaced some furniture in the living room, including a recliner and a new queen size Lazy Boy sofa/bed. As the following check-list highlights, all the household and cooking basics are included. It’s nice to know; however, after a long day in the park, should the ‘cook’ decide ‘not to’…eating out is within walking distance of the cabin!
The COWBOY CABIN is made available when we have a party of 4 or more registered guests.Should one or two quests not want to sleep in the Main Cabin, they can use the Cowboy Cabin. (Since there is no bathroom facilities in the CC, we request that at least one of the occupants be 18 yrs. or older).
One of the special features of West Yellowstone [locals simply call it West] is Location, Location, Location. The entire Rocky Mountain Range has some spectacular scenery, wildlife viewing and attractions. Yet, ‘West’, is truly special! It is surrounded on three sides by the Gallatin National Forest with Yellowstone National Park on its eastern boundary. As a gateway, you have access to features, attractions, and wildlife only found in the world’s first national park!!
--The largest concentration of thermal features in the world.[From the cabin, you are only 30 miles from Old Faithful Geyser]
--A wide array of wildlife, including, wolfs, bear, and bison.[Don’t be surprised to see bison sharing the highway with you]
--The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone with it's thundering falls and beautiful Yellowstone Lake, North America’s largest mountain lake.[August surface temperature is only 60 degrees F.]
--Road system that provides access to the parks major attractions and almost 1000 miles of backcountry trails to explore.
--A unique colorful history of exploration and adventure and a multitude of locations for peace, solitude and reflection.
If this is not enough to fill your day, don’t forget you’re surrounded by the Gallatin National Forest with its own variety of attractions.
We hope you can share some time with us. In 1872, the park was created, in part, as a “pleasuring ground” and wildlife refuge. It continues to excite and inspire millions of visitors every year and is truly one of the world’s greatest destinations.
