2 bedrooms,1 full bath (renovated in 2012), laundry room, sleeps 5-6 - 6 maximum

This lake front cottage has stunning views and is loved and well looked after. Relax on the screened in porch and enjoy the views, a meal with family or friends or just relax in the Adirondack chairs and read a good book. We have a fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, gas grill, washer/dryer, fire pit, dock, row boat, 2 person kayak and Wifi and Netflix. Large lawn overlooking the lake to bask in the sun or shade and relax, play a game or enjoy the firepit. 1 bedroom has a double bed and the 2nd room has a double bed and custom built-in twin bunk bed with plenty of head room. Brand new bathroom that was remodeled in 2012! There are numerous beautiful hikes to waterfalls, fishing right off the dock, in the row boat or in the river, free tennis and basketball courts in town. We provide quality linens, towels and many other amenities that make you feel at home. There is also a book of things to do at the cottage. 1.5 hrs from Albany, 1 hour from Saratoga and Lake George
About Jean Barbara

This cottage was purchased in 1954 by my grandparents and is now owned by myself and my siblings. We have put a lot of love and care into this cottage over the years and plan on passing this little slice of heaven down to our kids.

We stayed here for one week during an unrivaled hot spell.
Temperatures soared into the 90's. This house is beautifully situated to catch breezes with a spectacular view of the lake and mountains beyond. We think it is the best location on the lake. My husband says PERFECT!! A pleasant surprise is how well-equipped the cottage is and how comfortable the beds are. We had everything we needed and enjoyed everything the property has to offer. Our hosts were attentive and considerate and we will definitely return in the future. A great place and a wonderful week! 6 thumbs way up!!

My daughter, son-in-law and two year old grand-daughter spent a delightful week here. The cottage boasts well-manicured grounds, magnificent lake and mountain views, immaculate and comfortable living spaces, as well as all necessary amenities (both inside and out) to guarantee a wonderful experience. Jean is a welcoming host who made sure we had everything we needed. Each of us had different expectations for this family vacation, and none of us were disappointed by anything other than how quickly the week flew by. Regardless of your idea of the "perfect" Adirondack experience, you will do well to unpack your bags at the Kiernan cottage and let the fun begin.

Perfect getaway

We didn't want to leave and we'd definitely come back! The cottage is beautifully situated at the end of the lake - it's idyllic. The host's family obviously use the cottage throughout the year, so it is brilliantly equipped, especially the kitchen. Bedrooms and living room were comfortable, and we even got to use the wood stove (in June?!) one evening. The host was super helpful before our stay, and our deposit was returned within a couple of days of our departure - excellent customer service. We couldn't fault our stay in the Adirondacks except that we didn't stay long enough - we will be back to Kiernan Cottage! You should stay here too...

Relaxing Lakefront Experience!

We spent one week here this summer with friends - what a treat! Nicer than even the pictures. This house has stunning lake and mountain views, magical in the early AM with the fog lifting off the lake. Swimming off the dock, card games, all meals on the screened in porch and kayaking were our highlights. Hikes were fun too, but we were reluctant to leave the comfort of our waterfront retreat. THANK YOU! We will return....

My family stayed in this lovely cottage for a week and could not have
been happier. The house had everything we needed and was very clean and well situated. We spent most of our time swimming in the lake and hanging on the dock being that we picked one of the hottest weeks of the year! Hiking was a blast and we played tennis in town almost every
day. The owners were wonderful to work with and we are already making plans for next year!
