Breathtaking views are what you will experience from this Oceanfront home located on Green Hill Beach. Accessed on a private road from Charlestown, this home features a wrap-around deck with surrounding views. The highlight of the first floor is its open floor plan of living/dining area with French doors opening to an outdoor deck. The kitchen has all the needed amenities. This floor includes one bedroom and a bathroom with a shower. Cathedral ceilings are featured on the second floor. The Master Bedroom, with its spectacular views, has its own private deck facing the Atlantic Ocean. There is a cozy sitting area centrally located and is equipped with a TV and VCR, ideal for families with children who enjoy their own little space. Two other bedrooms plus an additional bathroom with a shower completes the second floor. With hardwood and tile floors throughout plus air conditioning to sleep well at night, this clean home features all you could need for a great family vacation!

Peaceful Tranquility: This unique area of Green Hill Beach is both quiet and private. If you are looking for rest and relaxation away from the crowds, this is the place to be. The neighborhood is lined with beach houses which are primarily owner occupied. Relax, read a book or take a nap on the comfortable cushioned outdoor lawn furniture. Or if it is too windy in front, retire to the rear deck which is equipped with a large picnic table. This is a wonderful place to have dinner outside in the evening and catch a glimpse of the beautiful sunsets. Conducive to quality time for families, this is a vacation home which is made for peaceful memories.

Great Place for Outdoor Fitness: Because of the flat terrain around this beach area, it is an ideal place for bike-riding and jogging. Many young people stay active with skim boarding and surfing. Kite flying and just shooting the Frisbee are favorite pastimes for many beach goers. Children love walking along the beach searching for shells and sea glass. Being active at the beach is great for all ages. It should also be noted that tennis, basketball courts and children's playgrounds are all located nearby.

Located right on the ocean, simply go over the dune walkover to access 145 feet of privately owned beach perfect for sunbathing, swimming, surfing or fishing. The many miles of expansive beach are ideal for those who enjoy walking. Our canoe or kayak can be used at any of the area's salt-water ponds. Take advantage of the many local restaurants from casual seafood to fine dining. On the other hand, perhaps you would enjoy fresh lobster purchased right from the docks. Our own local playhouse, Theatre by the Sea, is located just minutes away. Children will enjoy the unique experience of Charlestown's Umbrella Factory. The Block Island Ferry, whale watching and fishing excursions leave right from Point Judith. Whether it's a day trip to Newport or Wickford, Watch Hill or Misquamicut, they can all be accessed within a half hour from this vacation destination, a true get away!

The dining area includes 8 folding chairs for additional seating. For outdoor dining, there is a round table with 4 cushioned chairs. A large picnic table, which comfortably seats 8, is located on the rear deck. The wrap-around deck consists of outdoor lawn furniture with cushions. There are 4 lounge chairs, 2 of which are located on the upper deck off the Master Bedroom plus 4 additional chairs with cushions. The house is also situated on pilings in which stairs are required to reach the first floor. The house sits 20 feet above sea level which affords a gorgeous view. Additionally, after a day in the salt and sun, there is nothing like a nice shower. Since the well water can become brackish at times, this home is equipped with an outdoor 1,000 gallon holding tank with fresh water delivered weekly.

We are seasoned travelers and can wholeheartedly recommend this home. The home was well equipped, clean, and provided a great stay for our family of seven (ranging in ages from 21 to 80). We enjoyed the privacy and being next to the ocean. Donna is awesome to work with, and her notebook of places to go/things to do is helpful (we recommend Dave's for the coffee/latte drinkers!).

Just what we all needed!

My parents rented this perfect beach house to celebrate their 61st wedding anniversary and invited me and mysister along to enjoy as well.. From the minute we drove up , we knew we had picked the right house!. Everything was as described. The house is beautifully decorated and maintained. What a joy to wake up in the morning to the sound of surf, walk out to the beach and take it all in. I got in plenty of kayaking and beach walking.. My parents walked, flew kites, relaxed. Thank you for creating a space for us all to create some really special, lasting memories. We will be back!

Ideal Vacation

This rental exceeded our expectations. It was impecabley clean and well appointed. Even the cookware was top shelf. It felt like home from the moment we walked thru the door. The pictures on this web site do not do this home justice. For several days we had 11 people including a 3 year old and a 5 year old and we never felt cramped or cranky. There is alot of space in the house and it is laid out with practical design and function in mind. The beach was gorgous as were the sunrises and sunsets. The community was quiet and safe. We never once felt like a tourist. The area has a lot of nature preserves, wildlife and a star observatory tower nearby. Kayaking on salt water ponds directly behind the house was a nature lovers dream come true. There are alot of charter fishing opportunites available just a few miles away in Galilee and Snug Harbor. Newport is just an hours drive away. Martha's Vineyard and Block Island are easily accessible by high speed ferry.
The owners were very easy to talk with and extremely prompt in providing us with the details we needed to make an informed decision as to if this was the right rental for us. They were honest, caring and professional. We have rented alot of wonderful homes and this was by far our best experience. We would recommend it to anyone and will plan on returning to this vacation spot again in the future.
