If you fell in love with the photographs of this cottage, you will be blown away by the real thing!
This cottage has been decorated to a very high standard and with wonderful taste. It is clean and well maintained. The location is on a quiet residential street and the rear of the property overlooks Hope Bay, literally a ‘stone’s throw’ away – but don’t throw any stones, as you may disturb the varied bird life that frequents the garden and the waterfront!
The open plan kitchen and lounge areas are relaxing and comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with a breakfast bar and stools, full size gas range, microwave, refrigerator and freezer, toaster and coffee maker. A dishwasher and double sink is positioned off to the side. The lounge has a very comfortable sofa, coffee table, cabinet, small dining table. Over the fireplace is a large wall-mounted tv; a dvd player, and a radio.
The two double bedrooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable. Neither has a closet, but there are sets of drawers and hanging space on the walls. Linen, duvets and towels are all provided.
The bathroom is small, but has a shower, wc and wash basin.
Step from the lounge and you find the conservatory. This has large, removable windows, which can be replaced with nets to keep any flying bugs away! There are loungers, chairs and tables and the wonderful views over the garden and bay.
Outside there is a small lawned area, a gravelled area that has sun loungers, garden chairs a table with sun shade and dining chairs.
Downtown Bristol is a quiet little town with a good choice of restaurants. Nearby Newport is a busier town with a large harbour area and lots of places to eat out. If you prefer to self-cater there is a large well stocked supermarket nearby and there is a gas-fired bar-b-que to cook outdoors.
Providence is a small city well worth a visit and has riverside walks and a great shopping mall. Other places we visited were the Roger Williams Park zoo in Providence and the Battleship Cove over in Fall River
The owners are a great couple and were very helpful.
I would happily recommend this cottage to my friends..... but I’d rather keep it a secret!
