Enjoy year round luxurious home, decorated in Adirondack style, very private, only 5 miles from Exit 28 off I-87, one and a half hrs. from Albany. Large screened porch, huge deck, 187 ft. lakefront, dock, new kitchen and baths. Beamed ceilings, stone fireplace. Canoe, rowboat and kayaks included. Includes large screen satelite tv ,10 minutes from restaurants, shops, and marina in Schroon Lake, 50 min. to Lake Placid. This home is directly on Paradox Lake, with it's own private beach and lake frontage.

A vacation of a lifetme

We stayed at this wonderful house this summer. Our family really got to relax and enjoy one another. The house is warm and inviting, and is decorated in that Adirondack style that screams VACATION. We ate dinners out on the deck, while viewing the lake. Enjoyed morning cups of coffee, in my favorite room, the screened in porch. The kids fished from the dock, kayaked, made sand castles, and did tons of swimming. This was a wonderful place to reconnect with your family. I hope we get the chance to come back next year!!! If you are looking for a house that has it all, look no further. I wish I was there right now!

Peaceful lake retreat

Our family of four (two boys 10 and 12) spent a week at this house in August 2010 and had a wonderful, relaxing vacation. We were greeted by the owners, who were welcoming and provided lots of useful local information. The house is very comfortable and clean, very much a home not just a rental. The location was perfect for us - the house is at the top of a grassy slope running down to the lake, and although there are houses round about, it is still very secluded and private. Paradox Lake is very quiet, very few motor boats, and perfect for exploring with the kayaks provided. What a wonderful start to the day, to wake up to the sounds of the birds and sip coffee watching the mist rising over the lake from the porch! The location, while seeming to be miles from civilization, is actually quite central, just a short drive from either Schroon Lake or Ticondergo, and within easy access of Northway should one want to visit Lake George or one of the museums.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Amazing Property

I rented this for a weekend in June 2010. Amazing location and property. We had a great time there. Very relaxing, it was a really great experience. The owner was extremely nice as well. She left us notes on hiking trails and places to get groceries. The house is close enough to the lake to enjoy it but far enough to be able to do activities on the grass. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a way out of their busy lives. Perfect for someone looking to bond with their loved ones and of course, Mother Nature herself. Minus the insects, but they're everywhere!
