Here's the CRUCIAL DIFFERENTIATION
Exactly why is Castleview By The Sea different than other Maine Coast rental properties ? Good Question ! First off, there are only two architectually dramatic Castles in Maine, and both of these truly grand wonders are perched directly next door to Castleview By The Sea, which if course is where our unique name comes from ! And what a unique bird's eye view of them you get from Castleview--these proud sentinels of days gone by. Drinking in the castles romantic turrets, curved roofs, spires, chimneys and inspiring stone walled lanes, is almost like walking into an enchanting fairy tale by the sea.
And it doesn't end there ! Our name also promises ocean views ---along with the castle views---so we deliver that too. In fact, guests see castles and ocean from whatever room and private view deck they are in (or on) at Castleview By The Sea ! Our difference might be called 'bygone inspiration'
We've been asked what the 1856 charm of Castleview is. Simply out, it's gleaming wide pumpkin pine floors, hand hewn ceiling beams, historic stained glass, and three working fireplaces, and uniquely decorated rooms with wonderful bedding. So dream the breeze away from bistro tables on rolling green lawns or from adirondek chairs or white wrought iron furniture, while enjoying our gardens and fountains. Yes, we're different and are located right across the street from the famous Whitehall Inn and Vincent's restaurant--which is the nik name of Camden's world renowned poet, Edna St Vincent Millay. The stunning Whitehall lobby is adorned with a prized collection of photos taken during the filming of the movie PEYTON PLACE in Camden during the 1950's. Stroll across the street to Vincent's for dinner. You won't be disappointed ! Then walk back to your own private deck for star gazing, before a comfy nights rest.
