Just two blocks away from the Pacific and always in view of the ocean and sunsets, this is the a perfect beach vacation. The house is not for glitz seekers, but for those who want to relax and center their Encinitas time on family and beach. Once you're settled in, even in car crazy California, you can park the car and walk everywhere from the grocery to the library to restaurants to the train. One caveat--there are stairs so it's not disabled-friendly. The house is very well suited to families and we have enjoyed it for three winters with our extended family. The owners instantly respond to every need and it's been a pleasure to rent from them.
My husband and I both love spending time at the beach. I have great childhood memories when all our summer vacations were spent on the beach, playing, swimming or building sandcastles and I always knew that I wanted to be near the beach for the rest of my life and share the experience with my own kids.
The first time we visited Encinitas, we fell in love with its vintage California surf and beach culture. It's beautiful and down to earth at the same time. We loved the unpretentious friendly locals, the spiritual and sometime funky feel of it and of course the amazing beaches.
