Beautiful Indian Lake Ohio:
The 5,800-acre Indian Lake offers unlimited horsepower boating and features four boat ramps and boat docks for rental. Indian Lake has over 94 miles of shoreline and Indian Lake State Park is the only State Park Lake with a designated “Canoe Trail”. The State Park also rents canoes and Indian Lake is the only inland lake in Ohio with lighted buoys for night navigation. Fishing is plentiful, with Largemouth bass, Saugeye, white bass, crappie, bluegill, walleye, yellow perch and catfish. Biking and walking are very popular. Our home on Long Island provides the opportunity to walk or bike. Around the lake are the Cherokee Trail, a 3-mile easy walk through brushy habitat, is located west of the State Park campgrounds.
Also, the Pew Island Trail, a 1-mile path, encircles Pew Island and affords a spectacular view of Indian Lake. A paved bikeway is located on the West Bank between Old Field Beach and Lakeview Harbor. The bikeway is 3 miles long and also open to walkers and joggers.
Picnic, Boat and Swim:
In addition to a picnic right in the back yard, there are 2 public beaches, Old Field Beach and Fox Island Beach, that invite swimmers to relax in the cool waters of Indian Lake. If you venture onto Indian Lake in your boat or a rental, you will discover 4 designated boat/swim areas where you may anchor and swim. On the public beach, picnickers at the beach may choose from a number of shaded areas equipped with tables and grills and 5 shelters are reservable, through the park office.
Hi from Joe & Cindy Thrailkill:
We’re not a rental agency or a realty company, simply a couple lucky enough to have a rental home at Indian Lake. We want you to discover our wonderful retreat and hope you love it as we do. We work hard to make our quiet relaxing rental home on Indian Lake an inviting vacation spot for you. As you arrive in our house, look around and make yourself at home. You will notice family photos on the wall and personally selected decorations throughout the house. Over the fireplace you see a large photo of an Osprey, the source of the name for our house. Watch Osprey hunting over the channel in back and over Indian Lake. A favor we ask of you is to give us your ideas and suggestions to make the experience at The Osprey even more exceptional. Call or send us an email if you see something we can improve.
