Not exactly what was advertised

Me and my family (6 adults, 1 child & 2 small dogs) stayed here for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. When we first arrived I was disappointed, because the pictures did not accurately display the duplex. It was the same layout, but the pictures look like and upgraded, which this was not. There were very long cracks in the downstairs floor, the cuppbards & doors were chipped & it was very dusty. We had to wash all the utensils, silverware & plates before use because they did not look clean & there were ants crawling on them. The view, however made up for all of this. It was absolutely beautiful. Right on the beach with beach access right in front of you. We had fun regardless of initially being disappointed. My expectations of the actual property were not met, but the location/view met my expectations & more. I’m not sure if I would stay here again. Maybe if they fixed it up a little. All in all, we had a lot of fun.
Owner's Response: This reservation was in September after a long summer. We have been occupied since June, and we have 4 seperate units we rent After guests check out, we have a cleaning service comming and cleaning everything. In regards to the cracks on the floor they will be fixed, and we are scheduled to start upgrade within the next couple of month.

Beautiful Setting

My family and I spent a very enjoyable long weekend at one of the duplexes, which really are right on the sand. There was plenty of space for all 6 of us (includes 4 twenty-somethings) and a dog -- to do whatever each felt like -- chase tennis balls, swim, sit on the sand, sit inside and enjoy the view, nap, play bocce or frisbee right outside the door. . . There is a large patio with firepit and BBQ that extended our dining options when friends joined us. Everything inside was in working order and there was a very responsive caretaker a phone call away. Furnishings are probably typical of a beach rental -- motel towels and unremarkable bedding, but we weren't inside that much anyway. As always, the boys had to have the "Whole Ball of Wax" amazing burger at Duke's, across the street; Full o' Beans still has great coffee and dog biscuits. Other than that, we enjoyed bicycling, going to thrift shops, the Farmer's Market on Saturday, and cooking while gazing at the ocean. We will definitely plan a return visit!

Memorial Day Weekend at the Beach

While we enjoyed staying on the Beach there were a few things that we felt should be pointed out. Over all we had a good time just because we were at the beach. We utilized the BBQ and the fire pit which was easily moved to the beach and was enjoyed both nights. However, the house did not look like the pictures on the website. It didn't feel as clean and neat as the pictures suggested.
The dishwasher was stained with mildew. We ran one cycle empty but still never felt comfortable using it, so dishes were all washed by hand in a very small sink. The coffee pot was not clean when we arrived and the pot was a replacement so the filter basket was rigged to have the drip hole stay open which meant it would not pause when the pot was removed. The ligthing was also very dim in the kitchen so at night when we ate or played games at the table it was a little dark. To have a house right on the beach was nice, the picture window upstairs afforded us a beautiful view of the ocean and the many pelicans flying by and diving for food in the evening. The location is approximately a mile from the pier. We found the walking path and enjoyed walking to the pier for lunch.
Owner's Response: This is in response to the review, this unit was rented by one person monthly, and the dishwasher was never used by him when he stayed, but we will make sure to do extra cleaning inside. The coffee pot will be replaced, and we will provide more lighting in the kitchen area. Furthermore we are going to do some upgrade outside as well as inside within the next 2 weeks times
