Come enjoy this luxury 5BR/4BA home that was just renovated! The home has AMAZING views of Grandfather Mountain from an oversized deck, a gourmet kitchen with high end Viking appliances and luxury spa bathrooms.

There are two master bedrooms (1 upstairs and 1 downstairs) making this a perfect home for two families or one large family. Each master has its own private bath and king bed.

This home has been in the family since 1985. It is owned my several members of our family who are spread out from Tokyo, Japan to Nashville, TN. We have had so many happy memories here and we know that you will make lovely memories in our home as well.

In the High Country you can find a large assortment of attractions to please the whole family. This mountainous area has been hosting visitors for over a century, and today includes such popular attractions as Sugar Ski Mountain, Beech Ski Mountain, Applachian Ski Mountain, Hawksnest Tubing Park, Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad, the original Mast General Store, Mystery Hill and many others. The High Country is also home to the State’s only public caverns, Linville Caverns. Emerald Village is a historic mining attraction that sits in the spectacular mountains near the Blue Ridge Parkway and Little Switzerland.

Here in the High Country we also have a wide array of wineries that are sure to please the plate. Come and taste the award-wining wines from the various wineries in our area, such as, the Banner Elk Winery, Benny Parsons Rendezvous Ridge Winery, Brushy Mountain Winery, Raffaldini Vineyards, and Thistle Meadow Winery.

There are many orchards and farms in the High Country, such as, Apple Hill Farm which offers outstanding mountain views, and featuring Alpacas, Llamas, Goats, Donkeys and Horses. The Historic Orchard at Altapass is an apple orchard located in the Blue Ridge Mountains that celebrates the people, music, art, and natural beauty of the High Country. It is a wonderful spot for family fun, with hayrides, mountain music, and their famous Orchard fudge. The High Country is filled with Christmas Tree Farms. Here you’re sure to find the perfect tree, after all The High Country is one of the Christmas Tree Capital of the United States.

As Spacious and Open as the View

This house gets it right. It is designed with the light and nature you are seeking in a mountain experience at center stage while also addressing the paramount importance of a large spacious kitchen open to the epicenter of the house. There is plenty of room to spread out and a vast downstairs to sneak away when privacy is in order. The bedrooms and baths are fresh, modern, and lovely with huge showers but the living and kitchen area are unsurpassed with modern industrial Viking appliances and an island fit for a hotel kitchen, but too beautiful with its limestone top. We will definitely come back again and again.

Idyllic,peaceful mtn retreat with modern amenities

We are already planning to return to this truly remarkable home you have created ! Set high up on a mountain with a beautiful view , we had every thing we could desire for a peaceful and luxurious getaway. Great attention has been paid to the decor and upgrades. Cooking was a dream in the new kitchen. We were a total of 3 families ...6 adults and 6 kids. We felt like there was more than enough space for all to relax and the downstairs room was a great space for the kids to play games and just have their own area !

We found the house conveniently located to everything we wanted to explore and the roads were cleared early in the morning after a late night snow. We had no problems traversing the hills. This was very comforting !

We hope to return in summer and look forward to the kids being able to explore the property around the house. It is a large wooded lot with a giant boulder that the kids loved playing around. I envision kicking back on the deck and enjoying the view while the kids are frolicking below.

Our family highly recommends this rental...it was everything that the pictures showed and more. Thank you to the homeowners for such a wonderful getaway! Great memories were made ...

Let me first assure you that we had a fabulous time staying in your beautiful home!!! It was so comfortable, adequate furnishings and I LOVED the kitchen - Yes, I am jealous!!! The view WAS spectacular and it was perfect for us with just a few inches of snow on the deck even as we left. On the coast, we don't often get to see that!

We loved your home and would love the opportunity to go back - spring, summer, fall or winter!!!

What a spacious, lovely mountain home!! We love visiting Blowing Rock, Boone, and Linville during all seasons of the year because of the glorious view, delightful weather, and endless activities to do. This home is in a great location with wonderful views and plenty of privacy. We will definitely be returning... just don't take our week!
