This well-located, comfortable, well-decorated townhouse is walking distance to the beach (1/2 mile) where you can sunbathe, watch the sunset, view Catalina Island or check out what's happening at the Queen Mary. It is walking distance to great Long Beach restaurants, wine-tasting room, markets, etc. There is great shopping, both in Belmont Shore, 1 mile away, and downtown, 2 miles away. The very beautiful Recreation Park with 2 golf courses, and Billie Jean Moffit King tennis courts, is only 2 miles from home. If you'd like to hop on the freeway to go longer distances, you have only to drive 25 miles to famous LA sights, 10 miles to Orange County sights like Disneyland or an 1 hour and 1/2 to San Diego. Or, you can take rapid transit from a nearby station into Hollywood. You can rent bikes around the corner or Kayaks and Stand Up Paddleboards in the Harbor.
Everything was perfect. The house was clean and had everything required for our family. The owner has made everything easy for us to rent the house, make the payments, get information, get the keys, get there, etc. The place is very well located for easy access to numerous highways to Santa Monica, Hollywood, Disneyland, San Diego, etc. There is a supermarket that is close and convenient, and also a very nice restaurant specialized in breakfast. We would never hesitate to get back there again.
My stay at Gina's couldn't have been better! The apt is beautifully decorated, clean, has two comfortable beds, full bathroom upstairs and 1/4 bathroom downstairs, fully equipped kitchen, Direct tv, two parking spots (!) - it is exactly as pictured. Location-wise, it's always a good idea to have a car in Long Beach, but there is also plenty to do within walking distance: it's five minutes to a grocery store, five minutes to a Starbucks, about 30-40 minute walk to Second Street (lots of shops and food and a park for kids); there are plenty of eateries around too. And to top it off, Gina is a perfect host: quick to respond, extremely helpful, puts out maps and restaurant suggestions and leaves quarters for the condo laundry facility. I go home to Long Beach at least once a year with my toddler to visit my family and will most definitely be contacting Gina again - and maybe even arranging travel plans around the apt availability!
This is a lovely home for a family or couple to have a great stay in central Long Beach. We are a family of five and were staying a week in early December.
Gina is very easy to deal with, everything went smoothly in every way. Gina went our of her way to ensure we had a comfortable stay and had everything we needed, a lovely courteous host.
This character filled home is comfortable, warm, spacious and very well equipped. Gina provided an excellent list of things to do as well as recommendations of local restaurants and cafes.
Great base for our visits to LA by car and train, and of course to explore Long Beach... and Disneyland!

This hometown in Long Beach was the perfect destination for our holidays! This was my first experience with Homeaway and I am really satisfied. The house was neat and tidy as it appears in the pictures. We traveled with our 2 year old baby, and it worked out great having our own place.
My favorite things about the house:
-Very homy place, we felt at home right away.
-Having 2 private parking spaces! Really practical
-Laundry room in the back. (Gathering the quarters was a bit of a pain)
-Very quiet neighborhood.
Gina and Harva are really nice, they left us a baby safety gate for the stair and beach toys for our child! which he really enjoyed, plus recommendations for restaurants, supermarkets, etc!

We had a fantastic 2 week stay here in April with our 4 year old son. We chose Long Beach as felt it would be a good central point to do Disney, the beaches, North LA and with a trip down to San Diego.
The townhouse provided the perfect location for this and as we had our own off street parking space, we were never stuck.
The owner provided really useful information before we even got there of places we could go, and when we arrived there was a map of longbeach with great recommendations of restaurants and shops etc, as well as a road map of Los Angeles and Orange County which we used everyday.
The facilities at the house were fantastic, it had everything we could need and we were made to feel at home there right from the start. We visited California from the UK and found the locals extremely friendly and welcoming.
The price of the house was also very reasonable which for us meant more money to spend throughout the holiday. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend and would stay there again if we returned to Southern California in the future.

What can I say bad about this place? NOTHING!! We loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Long Beach. The neighborhood is amazing from its tree lined streets to its ultra close proximity to the beach and you are within short walking distance to tons of different restaurants.
Harva is a delightful woman who was always just a phone call away to help us with anything and everything. Comfortable beds, TV's, a patio, and even a BBQ grill.
You would be silly not to stay here.

Situated between Orange County and Los Angeles, Long Beach is the perfect vacation spot. The townhouse is located within walking distance to the beach, grocery stores and many yummy restaurants. It is a 10 minute bikeride to beautiful and mellow Belmont Shore and about a 15 minute bikeride to the bustling downtown. If you want to stretch your legs a bit take a 25 minute bikeride to quaint Main Street, Seal Beach.
The townhouse is a 15 minute drive to Huntington Beach and Anaheim (DISNEYLAND!!!) a 25 minute drive to the heart of Los Angeles (no traffic of course) and about a half hour to Newport Beach and Laguna Beach.
Don't feel like driving too far? There is a Metrolink station located within a 10 minute drive from the townhouse that will take you to the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame and to the main transit center in LA.
The townhouse is also located near local and convenient bus stops.
Other Activities: Beach boardwalk for nice walks/runs.
Golf: Recreation Park has an 18 and a 9 Hole golf course. Bixby Village 9 Hole Golf Couse is nearby as well.
Ski: Driving about two hours east you'll find some great ski/snowboard spots. You can surf in the morning and ski in the afternoon!

Prices are negotiable especially for stays over a week. However, if staying for seven nights the price is firm at $840. There is a 7 night minimum stay. Thanks!
After I receive a non-refundable deposit of 30% of your total price the dates will be reserved. We can work out how you will pay the balance over email as there are various ways to do this that depend on when the reservation is made, etc.
If paying by personal check I must receive the balance one week before you're arrival.
