We love our location in Kauai and come to stay two or three times a year.

Why Donna chose Kapaa

We have owned on Kauai for many years. This is a special location with unobstructed ocean views across a wide expanse of lawn. Our unit is away from the parking lot and sports field, is an end unit and is close to the pool and barbeque area.

What makes this condo unique

We have stayed at the Kaha Lani at least 10 times and we have stayed in this unit three times. There are more upscale units but of all the units we have stayed in this is by far the best value for your money.

We have just reluctantly ended our month long stay in this wonderful condo! Private and quiet unit, great location for visiting the entire island. Stunning sunrises as you enjoy your coffee on the lanai, long walks on the miles long secluded beach, grilling by the sparkling clean pool, washer/dryer lets you travel with only a check-in bag... What more can I say for this very affordable unit? Would love to purchase it but instead will have to be happy with claiming the month of January for ourselves in the future. Mahalo for a fantastic and lovely stay!

Convenient location - condo needs updating

This condo is most of what was advertised - conveniently located, steps from beach, walking/biking path out front, well stocked with the things a traveler needs to cook with. However, in a climate as damp as Kaui can be, the wall-to-wall carpet needs to be replaced by time: when I arrived, the first thing that hit me was a musty smell and for 1 1/2 days I had a headache - until the fresh air could blow through. Property managers were very responsive, replacing musty bed linens and doing what they could to accomodate. But if you have allergies (which I don't) or are sensitive to musty environments, choose a fully tiled home.

Owner's Response: We are so disappointed that this guest was not happy. We have never received a complaint in 5+ years. This guest was here for approximately one week in December on her first trip to Kauai. The sun was shinning, the weather was gorgeous. Ocean breezes were blowing right into this ocean front unit. It was delightful. We tried everything to make the guest happy. We bought new sheets, new pillows and new bed cover so that we wouldn't run the risk of a complaint. We installed a portable air-conditioner. Somehow, it was moved and developed a leak. We sent our maintenance staff to fix the leak. It was moved again, another leak. Lots of effort. We would gladly have refunded her money. We received the complaint two days into her 7 day stay and we felt she would have a difficult time finding another place in peak season at this very affordable rate! Updating??? We have recently painted interior, replaced stove, dishwasher, refrigerator and washer & dryer. Replaced 15' of windows and sliding glass door facing the green belt, replaced all window coverings, replaced the lanai furniture, replaced the TV. Yes, we do have carpeting in living room and bedroom which is professionally cleaned monthly. Each time we entered the unit to try to make this guest happy, the windows were closed and the window coverings were drawn shut. We asked the guest to open the windows and turn on the fans. There are ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom and portable floor standing fans. But based on this guests comments, we will work to replace the carpet with tile. It would, in fact, be more cost effective for the owner. So far, all improvements have been done without increasing the rate or charging a premium for peak seasons. This is a very affordable unit for Kaha Lani. Kaha Lani is in a great location without any other resort condominium adjacent. Our guests describe it as having their "own private beach". This is not in a congested area. I meet most guests who love the location of this particular unit. The guests who arrived after this guest are booking for next year. I have visited the current guest twice. They have no complaints. They love the unit and spend most of their time in the unit or sitting on the lanai.. The owners come every year and are meticulous about the unit which is enjoyed by their family and friends. We are so disappointed about the irreparable harm done by this review! We pledge our very best to any of our future guests.

Great location on Kauai

This condo unit is centrally located on the east coast of Kauai making it super easy to get to all parts of the island. You can see the ocean waves from the ground floor lanai. The unit is stocked with all the beach goodies you'll need (snorkel gear, boogie boards, sand toys, etc). The resort is well maintained and attractive. Restaurants in Lihue and Kapaa are just a few minutes drive away, and the wonderful Lydgate park which is great for families is a few hundred yards away. The extra half bath was nice to have for the two of us. The property manager was very prompt in addressing any questions we had and was very helpful in many ways. Thanks for a very nice first trip to Hawaii.

Wonderful place to stay on Kauai

We just returned home from a stay at your condo and loved it! We loved having a 'homey' place to return to after a day of sightseeing. With the location being so 'central' it made day trips to the north, south, and west sides all within an hour drive. The bed was very comfortable, and the nice clean pool just a few steps from the condo. It was nice to have the washer/dryer to use to make packing lighter. We had a wonderful relaxing vacation. I'm glad we found this nice quiet unit and complex and hope to return again someday. Aloha till then.....
