Why The Owner chose Amagansett
After having rented a house down the block from our house for seven years, we purchased this property after years of looking in and around the Hamptons. This is the nicest area in the Hamptons and have we have always thought of this as our 'home' through years of business travel, rentals and various property ownership. A great Family House - Our three boys love the house and the access to the beach is wonderful for them. Learning how to bike became possible here as well, due to the privacy of the area. Really is a magical place.
What makes this house unique
Amagansett has developed into an area that is not as affected as the other Hampton towns, it has kept it's quaintness. The town is home to 'Hampton Chutney', has a yoga center, an nice Mexican Restaurant, and a newer restaurant that is mostly filled with well to do neighbors. We also have the famous Stephen Talk House, with live performers such as Joan Osbourne, Louden Wainwright III, and Leon Russell. A pizzeria, a supermarket that's never too crowded, 2 liquor stores, a few clothing stores, an art gallery, 3 'home-style' stores, 2 great fish stores, a few nurseries and a florist, a deli and one stop light. Enough to keep you busy if you want to be.
