Christmas at the Beach

We rented this condo for a family vacation from Christmas Day to New Years Day. Our party consisted of two older adults (ages 58 and 61) plus two adult children and one future son in law. This unit far exceeded our expectations! Right outside the complex is the beach and, if you tire of that, you can relax in the hot tub or take a dip in the swimming pool. Shopping and restaurants are near to the complex, but yet far enough away that one is never overwhelmed by the noise and chaos of the city and traffic. The condo was beautifully decorated with a beach themed motif. Not only was this condo impressive to view, it was also highly functional. The kitchen has almost any appliance you could ever want including two coffee makers, blender, toaster and hand mixer. There are multiple sets of drinking glasses, wine glasses, matching plates of various sizes, and cutlery galore. You will not find yourself without a needed item in the kitchen! Other amenities that we particularly appreciated were the large capacity washer and dryer along with a wonderful selection of beach towels (plus tons of bath towels). Oh, I did not mention the beach chairs and beach toys for fun in the surf! It was so nice to not have to run out and purchase items like the above. Plus, regular household items e.g. paper towels and laundry soap were already in the condo. We also found a good selection of DVDs and books which we chose from during our quiet times. We will definitely rent this condo on our future visit to South Padre Island!
