4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, sleeps 7

Large, well appointed, but family/small dog friendly home near freeway, beach, amusement parks, etc. Home is on quiet cul-de-sac. Walk to two public golf courses (a 3rd course is 1.5 miles away, tennis courts, basketball, rec center and beautiful park. Wake up every morning and squeeze oranges from 5 citrus trees, eat outside on covered patio overlooking pond, waterfall, and beautiful garden full of roses. Come home after a day at the beach to BBQ, shaded hammock, and 2 outside covered living areas. 6 miles to Huntington Beach (Surf City). 20 min to Disneyland or Knott's Berry farm. 30 min to Laguna Beach, 90 min to San Diego. 2 hours to mountains.

Upstairs: Large master bedroom/ensuite; a bonus room with 48 in TV/Blu-Ray, game table, work table, a queen airbed, large balcony; the newly redecorated 'Seaside' bedroom offers Queen SleepNumber bed and newly renovated ensuite. Lastly, the 4th space, a library, has room for a twin Aero bed.

Downstairs: Besides newly decorated living/dining room with plenty of original art, there is a family room, just off kitchen, which overlooks serene backyard and includes plenty of seating to watch new 47in LCD-HD-TV with Blu-Ray. The 3rd bathroom with shower is downstairs off family room.

Ambiance : Our home is an ideal place to start daily adventures to many wonderful Southern California sites. However, the best thing about our home is just being able to relax, especially in the backyard, which has 2 covered living areas, plus a 2-person hammock, among fragrant roses. Each afternoon there is a wonderful ocean breeze that cools the warmest of summer days. You will not want to leave.

Nearby Recreation : We are one block from Mile Square Park, a regional and city park facility with 3 golf courses. The park is really beautiful with 2 large ponds, playground equipment for children, carriage rentals, and paddle boats (summer). The city area has public tennis courts, basketball courts, Rec Center, and baseball diamonds.

About Harva Carbone

We are both retired teachers who love to travel. We raised our 2 children in this home where they have many wonderful memories of growing up on a block with lots of children. Now that we are empty nesters, we have redecorated the entire house and re-designed the backyard for entertainment.

We bought this home because it was close to the freeway, and had a great bonus room for our small children. The house has morphed many times in 33 years, but we still love it for the same reasons, though now the bonus room is my studio where I paint and work on sewing projects.

What makes this house unique

We think the unique benefits are 3 living spaces in the house and 3 relaxing spaced in the backyard where you can choose sun or shade, depending on the time of day.

Also, our location is great for hopping on the freeway, getting to many local restaurants, golf and bike trails.

Once you have made a $600 deposit, you may make monthly payments until the balance is paid 2 weeks before your arrival date. Personal checks are accepted for state-side renters.
In addition, there is a $400 refundable security deposit to motivate guests to leave our home reasonably clean and damage free.
Our goal is to rent our home for 4-6 weeks mid-summer. We are pretty motivated to make that happen.

Notes: As far as pets are concerned, we will allow up to 2 fairly small dogs We have a dog-door through the downstairs bathroom. No cats or shedding dogs. Also, a weekly gardener service is included. Washer and dryer are in garage. The cul-de-sac location is great for kids to play sports in the street with some caution.

Our family has stayed twice at this vacation rental! You wont find a more perfect place for your family!! The house is in a great quiet neighborhood...minutes from the 405, 10 min from the beach, and 20min from Disneyland. It was like coming home after a great day at Newport or Huntington beach! The backyard is beautiful and we had a great time relaxing with family there!! The hosts are great to deal with...easy, friendly and welcoming!!! It is our families best vacation yet!! The first time we rented it was for our daughters wedding. It was a perfect space for the bridal party to get ready...great place for pictures. We enjoyed it so much we had to go back the next summer!! There wasn't anything to dislike about this vacation rental!! They also left us with good restaurant recommendations, coupons and the house is minutes from grocery and shopping!! Hope to go back again soon!!

This is an incredible home. The owners are wonderful and were extremely helpful. We have 3 children and were very comfortable in this spacious beautiful home. The house was very clean. Gorgeous backyard and gardens. You will not be disappointed. Great quiet neighborhood. We were visiting family in Huntington Beach and the location was perfect. Loved everything about our vacation here. Thank you Harva and Frank!
