Saugatuck / Douglas Vacation Rental house

This home exceeded my expectations based on the website description. It is decorated as a home, not a rental, with a lot of nice little touches that I didn't get to fully explore because there are so many. The kitchen is wonderfully stocked, including a Belgian waffle maker, lots of large and medium size pots and pans, ample dishes and silverware. Well organized. The extra refrigerator in the garage was great for storing cold drinks and giving extra freezer space.

There are 4 living areas on the first floor which seat anywhere from 4 to 8 each. Very comfortable seating. The sun room and living room are next to each other so can function as one big room. Yet all four areas have doors so they can be closed off from each other. The beds were very comfortable. The game room on the second floor was a big hit with teens to 30 year olds. The upstairs master bedroom is fabulous. Off .street parking is more than ample

I can't think of anything a renter would need to bring other than their own personal items. Well stocked with linens and towels, hair dryers, fans, high chair, youth chair, pack and play, children's toys and videos, board games, Wii, pool table, air hockey and much morel There is a fire pit, swing set, basketball hoop and horseshoe pit in the backyard with a storage box full of balls, bats and other play equipment.

I would recommend this property to anyone including friends. Even though the house is in a well developed beach area, the vegetation provides almost complete privacy. The only road noise we were aware of were the garbage truck on Monday morning.

Of course the best part of the rental is the beach, about a 1/4 mile walk down the road. It is a free public beach with ample room even on the weekends for a large crowd. Recommend walking since parking there is limited.

My only complaint is the cool July weather which is so atypical.
