Exceeded our high expectations

Because of my husband's illness, I was not able to join the rest of the family until they had been in the house for several days. My children and grandchildren, upon their arrival, excitedly called me to say, "You won't believe this house!! It is huuuuge!! It's awesome! There are so many rooms! This is the best place we've ever rented!" etc. They were right. The house was great. There were places we could all be together and enough room that someone could go off and read quietly. There was an incredible amount of space, both inside and out. The gourmet cooks among us (my daughters-in-law) were impressed by the kitchen furnishings. I was impressed that the bathrooms appeared so much newer and more modern than I had expected. There were many things to do that we didn't get to because we really enjoyed being in the house. A fishing expedition yielded 80 pounds of lake trout; everyone spent time at both Douglas and Oval Beaches; the teen-agers camped out in the game room. I loved sitting around the firepit in the evening. The hot tub was a big attraction. The screened-in dining area was fun. All in all, it was a great experience for our multi-generational group. Beautiful house, beautiful area, beautiful weather. We hope to do it again next year.
