Great location and nice place

There are always a few areas for improvement, in this case it was a short list. The electrical outlets were broken in the kids room. In addition, there is not a trundle bed, 2 thin mattresses are all that is in the room. Ok for little kids, but not so comfortable for adults. Several lights out, and a dirty floor upon arrival. No stereo as we were told there was...

On to the good. The owner was friendly and responsive. The floors were cleaned within hours of calling. The outlets were not fixed, but a power strip was added to a working outlet and it is just fine. If you want music, bring your own iPod and speakers.

The location was GREAT. A short walk from a clean big beach, a short drive to sea world (10 min). A short drive to downtown La Jolla. Great parking, quiet, great breezes. There are several good restaurants with in a 2 minute walk and the local grocery story is only 2 blocks up the main street. It was a real pleasure! There were hardly any tourists and it really felt like we were living there. We will stay at this location again as the price is good and the place was nice. I would bring an air mattress next time.

In addition, consider booking the "penthouse" upstairs. It looks sweet and was not much more.

A friend of mine and I stayed in the La Jolla Shores Getaway just last night and it was terrific. we had hoped to get in a good surf session in one of the surrounding areas, but it just wasn't happening so we stayed in, watched a movie, got some food in town, and just kinda hung out. it was a lot of fun and is a really relaxing environment right by the beach.

Relaxed and happy couple!

When contemplating what to do for my 50th birthday, my boyfriend and I were at a loss as to something to do to celebrate. We both have very hectic work schedules and we were both on vacation and were hoping to find a nice quiet place to relax and unwind. Boy, did we find it too!

This condo was amazing. It was immaculate! It was very well furnished, perfect for a beach getaway! The beds were comfortable and clean. The bathrooms were spotless and I am very picky about having a clean bathroom. The master bath is larger than your typical tub so it was perfect for soaking in the tub. Lots of choices for bubble bath scents which was great!

The entire condo had so much charm. The beach theme was incredible. The back patio was very quiet and we had hoped to be able to barbecue but just ran out of time. We felt very safe in this gated complex and there was so much to do in the little village. I had the best hamburger EVER at Jeff's Burgers. Loved the little deli that had a wall full of photos with people all over the world displaying one of the deli's frisbees. Very cute! The self serve frozen yogurt place was terrific and everyone in the village was so friendly!

We met some scuba divers coming in from a dive one evening and they were telling us how much they had seen while diving. If you're a scuba diver, apparently this is a great place to check out.

It is a busy place during the day but the evenings are nice and quiet. No traffic going through the village which makes it perfect for late evening strolls. The beach is so close and perfect for spending the day. There is also a very nice grassy park if you aren't into the sand thing.

The condo has ALL of the essential amenities. Blowdryer for your hair, washer and dryer, all the kitchen appliances, and internet access. Nice TVs in the family room and in the master bedroom. Excellent cable channels including ON Demand so no need to bring videos, although there is a DVD player.

The neighbors are very friendly as well and have the sweetest dogs in the world (except for mine). It was just a very pleasant experience all the way around. I wish we could have stayed longer.

A Little Piece of Heaven!

Hello-

I'm not usually one to take the time to write a review, but in light of the incredible experience that my wife and I just spent over Mother's Day Weekend, I just had to share!

First of all, I wanted to do something special for my wife, and this condo hit the spot!. We looked at lots of accommodations down there for our stay, but few ended up actually being as close to everything as they claimed. We literally threw our keys on the counter and never once had a need to jump in the car to head to the beach, go to the grocery store, eat at any of the several awesome restaurants, etc. It was all right there! The owner actually suggested the "Strazzopretti" at Osteria Romanatica and it was to die for!

When we pulled up to the condo, we could tell we were in for a great stay. The spacious underground/secured parking was reassuring, and when we walked into the condo, it seemed like it was a page right out of a Tommy Bahama catalog! My wife liked how spacious it was, as well as the "soothing earth tones" (whatever those are), and I liked the jumbo flat screen, super comfy bed in the master bedroom, and how quiet it was. I slept harder that weekend that I had in a long time.

The place was immaculate, and showed much, much better than the pixelated pictures on the internet. There was a great patio deck with a BBQ out in the backyard which we unfortunately didn't get a chance to use, (this time!). My wife even took advantage of the sunny front porch and read her book in the morning sun on Sunday, and said she felt like a queen when I brought her a fresh cup of brewed coffee!

Anyway, I could go on and on, but the bottom line is that we just had an incredible time over Mother's Day, and having such a nice place to stay really made it a weekend to remember. I would HIGHLY recommend this condo for couples, families with kids, or business travelers looking for an awesome alternative to a hotel.

Thanks for making my wife's Mother's Day extra special...and making me look like a Super Husband :) We'll definitely be back!
