About Las Terrenas:
With over 15 miles of deserted, turquoise water beaches, 'Time' magazine has described Las Terrenas as having one of the last, long stretches of undeveloped beach in the Caribbean. The balmy climate with its ever-present trade winds and the warm temperature of the sub-tropical Atlantic Ocean combine this part of the island with year-round, delightful weather with only a few degrees difference in temperature between winter and summer. Las Terrenas is both a small fisherman village and it is also a vibrant cosmopolitan beach town with over 60 restaurants, many of witch are owned by French or Italian permanent residents and located along the beachfront and in the center of the village. There is a modern super marked and a lot of local shops only a few steps from Casa Tropical. 5 banks with ATM,s exciting nightclubs and unique gift stores with quality handicrafts etc within walking distance. Watch the color full Kite Boards or go diving, snorkeling, mountain biking or horseback riding.
About Casa Tropical (and the owner):
Pablo Bachatero is an art historian who traveled through Europe, Africa, The Americas and Asia for over 30 years but fell in love with Las Terrenas.
He rents the house out when he is traveling to other travelers looking for an alternative to cramped hotel rooms or impersonal all-inclusive resorts.
CASA TROPICAL is located in a QUIET BOTANICAL GARDEN surrounded by mountains studded with coconut trees.
Guests may buy fresh fish, crab or shrimp each day right on the beach and prepare in the equipped kitchen.
Purchase freshly baked baguettes and pastries at the French bakery just around the corner of the house.
Watch the moon rising above the mountains from the front patio of the house.
CASA TROPICAL was specially built to take advantage of the trade winds, so AIR CONDITION is NOT NEEDED.
