We came to Chattanooga on an ArtsMove Grant from Bradenton,Florida where we were one of a group of artists instrumental in creating The Village of the Arts, the largest arts enclave on the gulf coast.
We fell in love with Chattanooga, and being urban pioneers, we love living right downtown. There is so much happening in this medium sized culturally rich city with a myriad of outdoor activities for singles and families alike
We are walking distance to great restaurants and right around the corner from the free electric shuttle bus to take you anywhere around downtown ending at the Tennessee River. And there is off-street parking behind the house.
Located downtown in the historic Southside arts district, we love being able to walk to restaurants and down to the waterfront. Our favorite breakfast/lunch place is the BluegrassGrille at the corner. A brand new 'Trader Joe's' type market just opened a few blocks away! Five minutes by car is Ruby Falls, The Incline Railway, and Rock City. Voted the #2 arts destination in a mid-sized City and Where to Retire Magazine voted it one of the top places in the country to live (Mar/Apr 2011). (The owners made the cover). Rich in cultural and outdoor activities, fabulous restaurants, and lots of attractions and Seasonal festivals. And we also just got a 'Trader Joe's' type grocery a mere 3 blocks away. Wahoo! Just 1-1/2 hours from Atlanta, and 10 minutes from the Chattanooga Metropolitan airport.
Golf: There are more than six municipal golf courses within fifteen minutes to half an hour of downtown with moderate price ranges.
