On Maui's sunny south shore, is the romantic Honu’ea cottage, where quiet peaceful living is a way of life. Honu'ea (Hawksbill Turtle) is named after the endangered turtles that come and nest on the sandy shores in front of the property. Honu’ea is perfect for honeymooners or couples just wanting a tranquil getaway. The cottage is located on an acre of landscaped grounds with an unobstructed beachfront view of the Pacific Ocean. Just steps from the front door you can take long walks on miles of uncrowded sandy beach. Please note this is a legal vacation rental, unlike many other properties.

  • Honu’ea is a one bedroom, one bath Hawaiian style cottage. This new cottage has a great open floor plan that allows for ocean views from almost every room. The master bedroom includes a king size bed, ample walk in closet for clothes, and a great view of the landscaped yard and ocean. The living space has an inviting sitting area with a relaxing sofa and chairs. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for all your cooking needs. The cottage also has an amazing beachfront lanai with outdoor seating and BBQ. For the really hot Maui summer days the cottage has central air conditioning.

The cottage is centrally located so you’re only a short walk away from local restaurants, grocery stores, and shops. There is also a community swimming pool with free access less than a mile from the house. The swimming area includes a Olympic size swimming pool and kid pool with fountain.

This was our first time renting a cottage and the experience was great. The cottage has first class furnishings and appliances and is centrally located so it's easy to get anywhere on the island. The beach in front is virtually uninhabited so we had it all to ourselves for reading and relaxing. The lanai is great for sipping coffee early in the morning and listening to the waves. The owners couldn't have been more accommodating and we were only sorry we didn't book a longer stay. Very relaxing stay.

This place is a real find. It is quiet and beautiful and convenient. I would never stay any where else.
