FLORENCE JACOPO APARTMENT
The Oltrarno area of Florence has a special village-like atmosphere. Located on a very small street within Florence's historic center pedestrian-friendly limited traffic zone, the street is closed to through traffic except local residents and delivery vehicles. The neighborhood is very convenient since it is an easy walk to sites, restaurants and cafes.
The apartment building is three stories high with two or three apartments per floor. The apartment is lofted style with the open bedroom overlooking the living room. It has a generously sized pleasant eat-in kitchen with Tuscan-style cabinetry, an attractive wooden round dining table. Once in the living room the dramatically high ceilings open up to the original antique beams above. It is a comfortable, moderate apartment with basic furniture. The living room sofa bed is queen size and can accommodate two. The apartment has wireless internet.
Up 10 steps to the sleeping loft with queen size bed and bathroom. There is generous wall-to-wall closet space and good bedside lighting for reading at night. Bedroom ceiling height is low, guests over 5'11' note. If you're over 6' you head will graze ceiling beams. A pretty Florentine hand-painted dresser provides even more clothing storage space.
The bathroom has a enclosed shower, sink, bidet and toilet. The bathroom is older, probably last renovated in the 1980's.
The apartment is on the second floor (U.S. designation), it is 26 steps up from the street door to the apartment door. No elevator.
Only a two minute walk to the Ponte Vecchio where you'll also find several good cafes clustered in the neighborhood areas at either end. The Uffizi Museum and Palazzo Pitti are a 5 minute walk. Because of the excellent historic location this is a popular neighborhood so you may hear the sound of people below out in the street when the windows are open but almost no traffic since it is a limited traffic zone and the street is very narrow.
The building where the Jacopo apartment is located dates back to the 15th century. Many small artisan craft workshops can be found as you wander the streets: leather craft shops, jewelry makers, furniture workrooms, upholsterers, bespoke shoe craftsmen, picture framers and the other fine Florentine arts.

Consequently, we apologize that we have to say that the price provided by this advertisement is just an estimate.
