This efficiency apartment is located in the center of Salzburg, on the banks of the Salzach river.
The apartment is light and airy with a magnificent view of the castle and the high mountains of the Austrian Alps beyond. It is an easy 10 minute walk to the historic old town adjacent to the Mozart Music School and the famous Mirabell Gardens. Public transportation is also easy to access.

I am a native of Austria, have always loved Salzburg and like to return to this lovely city as often as possible. I also have family living in the Salzburg area.
In the center of town, in walking distance to most of the cultural events, near my friends and family.
THIS IS A GREAT LOCATION AND WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE TO MANY NOTED SITES SUCH AS MIRABELL GARDENS, OLD TOWN, AND THE AUGULTINEE BREWERY. EACH NIGHT WE ENJOYED LOOKING AT THE BEAUTIFULLY LIGHTED FESTUNG FORTRESS FROM THE LIVING AREA. JUST ONE BLOCK FROM THE RIVER, IT PROVIDES A WONDERFUL STROLL TO THESE LOCATIONS. THE APARTMENT IS NICE AND A PLACE TO RELAX AND ENJOY SALZBURG.
Of all the places my husband and I visited on our recent trip to Austria, we loved Salzburg, and in particular Lore's apartment the best. From the moment we walked in, we felt right at home. The apartment is spacious, bright, pleasant, clean and very well equipped.
After a day spent exploring beautiful Salzburg or taking day trips by bus, we loved cooking at night and having supper on the balcony with a glass of wine, admiring the incredible view of the mountains and the fortress.
The location of the apartment is very convenient. We enjoyed walking to the old city along the Salzach River. The bus stop at Mirabell Place is only a 10-minute walk away and from there we made several excursions - a memorable one to St.Gilgen with a boat trip on the beautiful Wolfgangsee.
We feel that this is a very good value for a most convenient location. The fact that Lore is so friendly, helpful and generous makes it a perfect holiday apartment. We would love to go back one day and can only recommend this place.
We just spent a wonderful week at Lore's bright, airy, and well equipped apartment. The location is excellent, a lovely 15 minute stroll along the river, through the blooming chestnut trees, to the old town. Easy to get to the train station, too...10 minutes, with a Billa supermarket center and a good bookstore on the way, and several good internet cafes at the station Very nice kitchen, spic and span throughout, very comfortable beds...it feels like staying in the home of a good friend. The Austrian restaurant on the corner to the north side of the apartment building was really good...tasty food and friendly owners. We ate there several times. This would be a nice apartment even without the view...but the view is absolutely splendid! It was enchanting to watch the shifting sky, clouds, and light around the fortress castle. The last night of our stay, a brief shower was followed by a double rainbow arching down to the building. What a memorable week in Salzburg! We would recommend Lore's apartment to friends, and would love to stay here again. Thank you Lore!
Great value for such a perfect location – great views and no public transportation needed as all is within ten minute walking distance – train station; the Old Town; and the Augustiner Braeu (not to be missed)! Strolling along the Salzach River and enjoying all the sights and sounds of beautiful Salzburg are so inspiring! Views from atop the 6th floor quaint apt. are spectacular – both from the living and bedrooms! The very clean apt. has one bedroom with two oversized twin beds; bathroom to include bath/shower; small kitchen with necessary utensils; lovely bright and airy living and dining area overlooking the castle and beautiful Austrian Alps. A Billa grocery store is nearby as are buses should you prefer not to walk. Lore, the owner, is most accommodating and I recommend this cozy apt. without hesitation and look forward to future stays!
The apartment was even more comfortable than we had hoped for. The living room and bedroom were larger than we had imagined and the beds were wider than a twin bed (and very comfortable). The sofa bed in the living room, partially opened, made a wonderful lounge where we enjoyed watching television and movies on the dvd player. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals when we didn't want to go out. The bathroom has a bathtub/shower, great water pressure and plenty of hot water. There is a nice balcony where we sat in the sunshine on many “Indian Summer” days. The big laundry room on the 2nd floor has about 12 full size washing machines and 6 dryers and only cost ONE euro to wash or dry. There is a bus stop 3 minutes from the apartment (just around the corner near a very good Indian restaurant)where you can catch a ride to the old part of the city. A 10-15 minute walk puts you at the main bus/train station and the opportunity to visit all the smaller towns near Salzburg as well as connections to other European cities. There's a McDonald's and a Burger King there and a Spar grocery store. A Billa grocery store, located in a mini-mall, was even closer. We often got take-out at a Chinese restaurant about 10 minutes from the apt. There are several places selling Turkish food in the area. All of these places I’ve mentioned were either at the train station or on the way there. Several good restaurants are near the apartment serving authentic Austrian food, too. There is a great restaurant down in the old part of town on Getreidestrasse called “Spaghetti & Co” where you can get very good spaghetti /pasta meals and if you like fish, Nordsee (same street) has wonderful food. The fish and chips are great. Whatever you may be hungry for, you’ll probably find it somewhere in Salzburg.
To sum it up, we couldn’t have been more pleased with the big, clean apartment, the location, and the owner, Lore. We found her to be a very friendly and agreeable person who did not hesitate to help in any way possible to make our stay in Salzburg one we will always remember fondly. I can’t imagine a better place from which to explore Salzburg and the surrounding towns. You definitely get your money’s worth with Lore’s apartment. We also appreciated the fact that we could pay with U.S. dollars.
FYI.."The Corner.." (don't recall whole name) near train station..good spaghetti but don't ask for a little more sauce! A few spoonsful cost same as whole spaghetti dinner! RIP OFF
What a delightful find! My husband and I recently spent eight nights in this apartment and could not have been happier. The interior was light and airy and the location was perfect. The views of the mountains and castle from both the living room and bedroom were wonderful. We could easily walk to the sights in Old Town Salzburg as well as to the transportation center to access trains and busses for day trips out of Salzburg. In addition, there was a good Austrian restaurant and an equally good Italian restaurant within a five-minute walk from the apartment as well as grocery stores and a coffee shop. The owner (Lore) was easy to work with, and we liked the fact that all transactions were in US currency
