Situated at the end of a long private lane, your vacation home has the entire north end of the lake to itself. At the foot of the grounds are the wharf and floating dock, where you and your family can swim in the spring-fed lake, or launch the canoe and explore the 'still waters'...

Within a 5 minute drive, is the Hubley Center featuring a full range of amenities, including a variety of shops, restaurants, the local family pub, groceries, a liquor outlet, DVD rentals, fitness center, rec center, library and skateboard park. For the more adventurous shoppers, you can even take a short cut across the lake by canoe!

A short, scenic drive takes you to area beaches, local events etc.

    A $500.00 deposit is requested to secure the booking. Payment in full must be received at least 60 days before arrival. At this time, a $500.00 deposit shall be rquired as a security deposit, to be refunded after check-out.

St. Margaret's Bay - Lunenburg:

Many scenic routes are close at hand. Majestic Peggys Cove is about 25 minutes away along the world-famous Lighthouse route.

World UNSECO site Lunenburg and romantic sea-side town of Mahone Bay are within 45 minutes. St. Margeret's Bay and its sailing club are about 10-15 minutes from Stillwater Lake, as are antique shops, restaurants, and ocean-front galleries.

The 'ten beaches' region starts just a few miles from Stillwater's End and Lawrencetown Beach - known as a surfing destination is less than an hour away along the Eastern Shore.

Amazing Vacation

If you are looking for a place to stay, near Halifax, where you can " get away from it all" this is the spot.
From my first contact with the owner I had a very good feeling and after spending a week there my initial feeling was absolutely right.
The house is absolutely spectacular. We are a family of 5 (with teenagers) and with the size of the house we never felt like we were tripping over each other. The lake is great for swimming, boating etc but extremely quiet. In our week there we only saw one other boat!!
You are about 15 minutes from Halifax with local shopping available about a 5 minute drive away.
When we arrived there were blueberry muffins delivered....hot right out of the oven.
All in all it was an amazing week in the Halifax area.......thanks in large part to the the vacation property called Stillwaters End. Thanks Miriam and John for letting us share your beautiful home.

Immediate tranquility!

My husband and I, along with our two small boys had a wonderful stay at Stillwaters' End. The house was immaculate, spacious, and had everything we needed (internet, satellite TV, games, books, basic pantry items, etc!). The fresh blueberry muffins upon arrival was such a welcome touch, and my boys loved them!
We had a wonderful stay and discovered that there were many things to keep us busy, all just short drives away. We spent a few days downtown Halifax, did some shopping at Bayers Lake, took a longer trip to Liverpool and amazing beaches, visited Lunenburg and Mahone Bay. The shopping centre located a few minutes away was convenient for groceries, as well as some prime takeout restaurants!
We also spent a lot of time back at the house enjoying the peaceful backyard, relaxing on the dock (we never did venture out in the canoe with the two tots, but loved watching for water skiers!), and BBQing.
It was a fabulous vacation with great weather and an amazing place to stay!
We highly recommend Stillwater's End!

We had a great time!

We had a great time staying at the house! It was quiet, clean, large, and extremely comfortable. We came just before the summer season but were still able to take advantage of the canoe and lake front beauty. I would defintiely recommend this house to anyone that's looking to get away from city living and enjoy a peaceful vacation. Also, it was extremely convenient to downtown Halifax as 4 of the guests were running in the Blue Nose Marathon and had no problem getting downtown on time.

Perfect Summer Vacation

We so enjoyed Stillwaters End while we were in Halifax for our sons' wedding. The house is spacious, comfortable and conveniently located. We had the gift opening party there and also entertained during the week. What a great lake, great dock, lovely deck and super grounds !! We had some children visit and they spent alot of time enjoying the grounds. The adults enjoyed swimming and canoeing. I would recommend this rental to anyone who wants to have the perfect Nova Scotia summer holiday.

Large lakefront property in immaculate condition

Stayed there in July'10 - large newly built house, very clean and well maintained. Lake access and even a canoe! The house is situated on a very private lot as well. Highly recommended.
