This is an absolute beautiful place. We had a wonderful week surrounded only by lots of birds and the constant rolling of the waves against the rocks - which you can see from every room of this very comfortable house. It seems as if the architect really thought it through: Ocean view from each room (even if lying in bed), sky lights to let even more light in and the possibility to ventilate the whole house by just opening the windows and let the wind do the job. Given the surrounding salt marshes and woods, unsurprisingly mosquitoes felt quite at home as well but we mostly managed to keep them at bay with chemical agents and the mosquito screens with which the property is generously fitted. The only minor drawback was parts of the kitchen equipment - the pots and pans did not have fitting lids and seemed to be rather outdated and there was no grater however, this is really the only thing to consider complaining about. It was a bit surprising since the kitchen is a beautiful place and contains a great hob and oven which made it a joy to cook. Although usually not done on request we were provided with logs for the fire place and even the kindling was not missing (many thanks!) because the season was over and logs difficult to obtain. We loved every minute we stayed and hope to return soon!
