Overview

Cooke City Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, I bedroom plus loft, 1 full Bath, (Sleeps 4)

* It may be helpful to know that while we do have a 4 night minimum, if you see an available window of 2 or 3 days in-between stays, please inquire as we may be able to book your stay.

Tucked into the woods, but close to everything. Travelers comment on how convenient it is to get into the park from Lamar Valley Cabin. One inside, you are minutes away from Lamar Valley, some of the best wildlife watching in the world.

Enjoy world class skiing and snowmobiling in the winter. Ride the trail in Cooke City, and come home to quiet Silver Gate just 3 miles down the road.

The cabin's main floor is an open plan. The kitchen is accented by handmade tiles, a butcher block counter and built-in storage nooks. The dining table sits next to divided glass windows where you can see and smell the gorgeous pine forest nestled up to the window.

Relax and take in memories of the day in the cozy leather recliner. A giant lodgepole queen sized bed adds to the coziness of the cabin's main floor.

And for the kids...a ladder leads to a loft with two twin futons. Always a favorite spot, it's scaled for kids and is a hideout they are sure to remember. They love having their own space perched above the grown-ups!

Parents, did you know? Silver Gate has a park for the kids! That's right, sometimes they need to swing so you can take a five minute walk down to the park for some kid-approved hang out time.

A full sized bath with a tiled shower and bathtub, and all the hot water you need awaits you to freshen up from a day in the woods.

Our friendly managers are right across the street, so anything extra you may need they can get for you quickly.

We also have a large two bedroom cabin should you need more space. It is listing 291211.

Should you have any other questions, please give a call, we're here to help.

No cleaning fee for stays over 7 nights.

Cozy in the woods

  • 5 of 5

Many trips to Silvergate therefore many different lodging options. Have been looking at this for several months and able to find a few nights this April. As others have described this is a very nice property with great owners. Space is at a premium so leave stuff at home you don't need.Jeff did a new deck out front with nice furniture. If youre going out early in the am park the vehicle in daylight so you are headed out thru the trees.

The great virtue of Silvergate is that it is close to wolfs in the Lamar Valley. Also this is a much less busy part of the Park and you have the Beartooth Highway just down the road to the East. Fly fishing is easily accessible in the Park and along the Clarks Fork River. Mountains everywhere with Pilot and Index classic spires.

So great spot and this property will continue to be popular!

Great cabin in the woods

  • 5 of 5

I stayed two weeks in the Lamar Valley small cabin and used it as a base for day trips into the backcountry in Yellowstone and up Lulu and Daisy pass. The cabin was the perfect place to stage those trips; it has all the comforts one needs to recover from a long day in the wintery backcountry; very hot water on demand, a kitchen that allowed me to cook great meals, a very comfy bed and, best of all, no television! It is very quiet. The owners, though i have not met them, were very friendly, helpful and got back to me more than once about questions on the area. I highly recommend the cabin!

Fall wildlife vacation

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in the small cabin and it was perfect for us. There were 2 of us but the cabin also had two beds in the loft. The cabin has a fully furnished kitchen which we did not use as there was a restaurant across the road. Best of all was that the cabin was clean. It would be hard to get any closer to the Park entrance. We will return.

Great little cabin located very close to Yellowstone National Park. Would definitely use in the future. It is literally minutes from the park's northeast entrance.

The Little Lamar Cabin

  • 5 of 5

A lovely little cabin. Has all the necessities for a comfortable stay at home away from home, eg fully equipped bathroom & kitchen, 3 seater dining suite, comfy arm chair, Wi-fi & a reeally comfortable Queen bed. Everything is clean & in good working order. It's only a short walk across the road for decent meal at the cafe/restaurant across the road (thankfully open at 10pm after a long day) and a short drive to great wolf watching spots.

Owners Karen and Jeff are easy to talk to, and make it a point to make sure everything is fine. We really enjoyed our stay there!

Would have no hesitation recommending this lovely little cabin.
