This beautiful home has not been affected by the central Texas drought. The boat dock is still in very deep water and the skiing in this area of Lake Travis is fantastic!

Lake Travis is considered the Crown Jewel of the Highland Lakes, known for it's beautiful coves, steep bluffs, peninsulas & good fishing. The Lake is 63 miles long with 270 miles of shoreline. There are large open areas for sail boats and high bluffs to block wind for great water skiing. The water is deep, clean and clear, great for swimming and scuba diving. There are numerous Marinas & Restaurants on the lake for your boating and dining needs.

Excellent Weekend at the Lake!

The Longhorn Lodge was the perfect spot for our weekend vacation. The house was immaculate, and had all of the ammenities for which we were looking. The pictures do not do this house justice, so you will just have to see it to believe it. My guests have even said they want to go back, and soon. The only negative about the entire property is the long walk up and down the stairs to the dock. Be aware that walking back up is much worse, if you are affraid of heights. Enjoy!

Wonderful Home!

We loved our stay at "Longhorn Lodge"! Our family spent Christmas here this year. The house was beautiful and full of so many different types of rooms---game room, patios, media rooms, family room, and etc. I would most definitely recommend this property to my friends and relatives. Thank you for helping to make our Christmas a wonderful one!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Description is right on!

First, I want to say Thank You to the owners of this wonderful home. Our stay was better than expected and that is because the house was better than expected. The house itself is well maintained and well cared for inside and out. The beds were all very comfortable. I found everything i needed to cook with in the well appointed kitchen. There is plenty of space for several couples and even a couple of families to stay in comfort for several days. The way the house is laid out affords everyone an opportunity to gather and play games, watch movies or just sit quietly to read and enjoy the amazing views. Our 23 ft boat fit perfectly into the slip and the dock/lift appear to be as well maintained as the home. Briarcliff Marina is less than 5 minutes by car and for a small fee we launched the boat.....which was about a 2 minute ride back to the house. There is plenty of room in the drive for a truck with a boat trailer and more than a couple of cars/trucks.The house is also close to Pace Bend Park and within a reasonable distance to some of the more popular Lake Travis hangouts. We have already started planning our trip back to the Longhorn Lodge. I have to say that even our Aggie friends loved the home!!! Thank you again for your hospitality.
