The Woodwards - We are a family of four that searched for many years to find the perfect lake and a wonderful home with an incredible view! Regardless of the time of year, there are beautiful long range water views across big protected water.
Harriet & David Woodward purchased this cottage in 2005
We searched mountain lakes throughout Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina...Lake Keowee offers shear beauty, proximity and incredible uncrowded lake recreation. The long lake season and views of the Blue Ridge mountains are breath taking.
Big and protected water. No worry about boat traffic while you are relaxing on the dock or in the water.
We have stayed here multiple times. Wonderful long-range Mountain View's. Beautifully decorated Lakehome with fantastic views. We love the screen porches and all the decks going down to the water. The owners are wonderful to work with. We will be back again!
We changed our vacation routine and stayed at a lake rather than the ocean. We fell in love with this cottage. It has everything you need for your vacation. Owners have gone out of their way to make their home your home away from home. We enjoyed the Wednesday Flea market a few miles up the road in Pickens, rented a pontoon boat and enjoyed swimming and fishing in the lake. Very quiet area with lots to do if you choose or do nothing but relax and enjoy your time away from it all. The owners were very easy to work with and all emails and calls were returned with a few hours. You couldn't ask for more.. My husband is already talking about renting it again this year..
Beautifully decorated, cozy and relaxing. We enjoyed the screened in porch overlooking the lake.
House was in good condition, great location on the lake and close to town. There was no queen sleeper sofa that we could find, so that made for a last minute scramble to accomodate all of us. There wasn't a foosball table or air hockey table either, much to the dissapoint of our teenagers. We recieved our damage deposit back 6 weeks after we had rented the property. (after numerous requests) Our contract stated it would be returned in 2-3 weeks. We had a wonderful week, but due to the above issues we would not rent this house again.
Perfect Get away! Quiet, well appointed and love the views!
This was our second visit to Keowee Cottage and we enjoyed a wonderful long fall weekend! The location is great if you are attending a Clemson game (which some family members did), or hiking the great waterfall trails nearby (which some family members did) or visiting the quaint small towns nearby. The views of the mountains and the lake from the house were beautiful! Our grandson especially enjoyed canoeing on the lake...the weather was fantastic!!! The house is great for a family of six and has plenty on hand for entertaining everyone!!! David, the owner, was very easy to work with and eager to make our visit enjoyable! We look forward to another visit next year!
