Spacious house in excellent condition on 3 secluded acres in Great Barrington, the heart of the Southern Berkshires, available for 1-3 week rental periods. Rural feel, yet only 5 min from the center of town and even closer to 24-hour supermarket. Skiing at Butternut within 10 minutes' drive, Catamount 20 minutes away. Lee outlet shopping, hiking, antique stores, etc., all within 20 min. NYC and Boston 2-1/2 hours drive. Great Barrington is a charming small town with lovely boutiques and unparalleled food stores. Winter swimming and health club at South County Community Center, a mile away.

House features screened porch with outdoor furniture, barbecue, and deck. 4 bedrooms, 3 with queen beds, 1 with two twins. Spacious front and back yards, woods for exploring. Living room/dining area with cathedral ceiling, skylights, multi-room air conditioning, wood-burning stove. Washer/dryer, 2-car garage, fully equipped gourmet kitchen. High-speed Internet access.

The Berkshires are a year-round vacation paradise. Summer concerts at Tanglewood, 15 mins. away. Skiing at Butternut within 10 minutes' drive, Catamount within 20 minutes. Other outdoor activity sites include Monument Mountain, Bear Mt. State Park, Tyringham Cobble, and Bartholomew's Cobble. Swimming and health club at South County Community Center. Outdoor swimming at Lake Mansfield (5 min. drive), Benedict Pond (10 mins.) and York Lake (25 mins.). Plenty of bicycling possibilities including rail trails.

Great Barrington is a charming town full of boutiques, gourmet food stores, fine restaurants, 3-screen movie theatre, and live attractions at historic Mahaiwe Theater. Plenty of antique stores and major outlet mall nearby. The area is about 2-1/2 hours' drive from both NYC (no traffic!) and Boston.

Golf: Egremont Country Club, Cranwell Resort, Pittsfield Country Club.

Ski: 10 minutes drive from Butternut, 20 minutes to Catamount.
