The cottage complex sleeps 9, 2 BR ,2 1/2 baths with a large kitchen , washer and dryer, 2 dish TV's, DVD and fireplace. Futon and other sleeping arrangements in family rooms . Large fully stocked Kitchen accommodates everyone for a family dinner or breakfast.(Efficiency kitchen in another area also). Wrap around deck has plenty of room to eat outside, sun yourself or just read and relax in the pristine quiet of the Lake Michigan dune-forest . All linens, towels, comforts of home are supplied. Bike path, boardwalk and pier with lighthouse close by. Kids will love the Waterpark / Amusement Park within 20 minutes. Golfing, fishing charters,sailing, kiteboarding nearby. Our private beach is only 300 feet from the cottage where you can sun, swim and roast hotdogs on a beach fire as the gorgeous sunset ends your day.Call or email to see if your dog qualifies.

We can arrange a therapeutic massage right at the cottage. What could be better than getting relaxed both ways... a massage and the beautiful relaxing surroundings! Hiking and viewing the wildlife in the dunes of Hoffmaster State park is only a 10 minute drive or enjoy a quarter mile of private beach with miles of Lake Michigan shore to walk. Pier Marquette beach is within walking distance too. It has a bike path, boardwalk,children's play area, and a picturesque lighthouse close by. You can fish from the pier also. Kids will love the Waterpark / Amusement Park within 20 minutes. Wrap around deck at the cottage gives plenty of area to eat outside, sun yourself or just read and relax .

It is truely one of the most unique and beautiful cottage settings in West Michigan. One well traveled visitor said ....You just don't find areas like this very often.

Lovely house in the woods and on the Lake

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this lovely house right on Lake Michigan. This place is truly unique. It was unusually hot for the end of June but we were nice and cool in the woods. It's just about 100 foot walk to some stairs that lead down to a beautiful private beach right on Lake Michigan. My kids spent the entire time going from the house to the beach and back again. I can overstate how nice it is to have a place to stay so close to the lake that you can walk it in less than 2 mins.

The house is very nice and well stocked. There's plenty of space for 2 family's. Lots of out door seating to have visitors as well. The deck is very nice as well. You can't watch the kids from the house because it's on a hill and in the woods but I like being on the beach so it's not an issue. Having all the bath towels and bed sheets as well as a washer and dry meant we didn't have to pack much either. The public beach is just up the street if you like as well.

I like to run and there's a nice 1.6 mile loop that goes through the woods and on the beach. Very nice.

Muskgegon is ok, nothing special but we came to be on the beach and get away so we were didn't mind. Grand Haven is 20 mins away so you can go be a tourist if there if that's what you like.

There's no internet and the TV is just the local channels. No basic cable channels. So bring lots of DV's if you need video entertainment.

Carol who manages the place is very nice and easy to deal with. We had a great stay and plan on going back next year.

We had a great time even though the weather did not cooperate. The cabin had absolutely everything we needed. We'll be back! Thank you.

Owner's Response: Well we can gaurantee a wonderful place but unfortunately haven't figured out how to
gaurantee the weather! There is plenty to do in the surrounding area though.

We rented the cabin as an alternative to a hotel for four days since we had a 16 month old with us. We were very happy with our choice! The cabin was huge! It was clean and well stocked with all the comforts of home. The agent met us there to show us around. We made the short walk to the beach several times during our stay. The beach was clean and the view were gorgeous! We are talking about renting this property again in June of 2011. Would highly recommend to everyone!

October IS a beautiful time of year at the cottage. The leaves changing and fall tenperatures that feel like summer can be experienced.
