What to Wear & Climate: Montauk is very casual and laid back compared to 'The Hamptons' but does require shoes at most stores and restaurants. Bathing suits, walking shoes and athletic clothes are a must. Nights can be chilly–pack a warm sweatshirt or sweater, even in the summer. Those Montauk breezes make you feel cool, but you still need a high SPF sunblock, even on a cloudy day. Summer temperatures average in the high 80s by day, going down to the high 60s to low 70s by night. Prevailing winds from the Southwest keep even the higher temperatures comfortable. Water temperatures average in the 70’s in summer. Spring arrives late due to the ocean’s moderating effect on temperature, which also causes fall to linger into November and winters to be generally mild.

I have spent every summer in Montauk since 1975 as a child. I was fortunate enough to purchase this new custom home in 1999 in order to recreate my childhood for my wife and daughters. We have spared no expense to decorate and care for our home and now look to share the same experience with the right guests. Check out any and all of our FIVE Star Reviews as I hope you will have a positive experience from the moment we speak through your entire visit.
Built new in 1999, our home possesses the highest quality products within. Gourmet kitchen, brass hardware and every creature comfort make our home one of a kind. This lot, a block from the beach, was the lot my mother wanted to purchase before my father talked her out of it for another up the street so it seemed to be density for us.
You can hear the ocean's roar from any room in our home. We are minutes away from the most beautiful beach in Montauk. With a winter view of the ocean, any month is amazing. Our favorites are September and October once the crowds have dwindled and the water temperatures are still swimable.
For decades Montauk has been considered the un-Hamptons; a sleepy fishing village with the most beautiful coastline. Residents of Montauk, range from families, deep-sea fishermen, surfers, artists, actors, and all others who share a deep love for the area and the discreet laidback nature it provides. Only 125 miles east of NYC, Montauk offers secluded or lifeguard protected beaches, engaging restaurants with fresh catches of the day and just enough space to get lost when you want to. Make some memories with us.
