You will always feel at home at Rancho Tonto Cabin nestled below the Magnificent Mogollon Rim. Located just 2 miles off Hwy. 260 and the Fish Hatchery Rd., just 17 miles east of Payson. Rancho Tonto Cabin is surrounded by natural beauty at 6200 feet elevation. Our scenic creeks and nearby lakes beckon you to fish, hike or just relax under sunny skies and starlit nights. There are many wonderful activities right at your door. Fishing in our stocked trout pond, scenic hikes, wild flowers, fossils and enjoying drives along the Rim Rd., with its panoramic views are a few ways to soak up the relaxing area. Wild game such as turkey, elk, deer, coyote and bear are often spotted in the forest. Children love wading in the creek or they may delight in horseback riding nearby. Cross country skiing and snow shoeing are also close by. We are only 2 miles to Zane Grey's former cabin site and the state fish hatchery. Comfortable accommodations await you at Rancho Tonto Cabin.
