Located on three acres of woodland just outside Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, the cottage easily houses three adults in its three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a lovely screened in porch and two-tiered deck for relaxing. Spend a quiet weekend relaxing in this lovely setting or get together with family and friends for a ‘house party.’
Historic property of the Civil War era:
Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park is a 2,923 acre National Battlefield that preserves a key Civil War battleground of the Atlanta Campaign. Over 67,000 soldiers were killed, wounded or captured during this campaign. The Park today has many hiking trails, including a trail to the top of Kennesaw Mountain, at 1800 feet, the highest point in the Atlanta metro area. You can walk up the 700 feet from the Visitor Center to summit, or take the bus!
Civil War Relics found on property:
Based on the remnants of trench lines and skirmish pits we have found on our property, we know that it was a site of significant combat during the battle. We have found many Civil War relics on our property, including bullets, buttons, buckles and the like. You are of course welcome to walk the property, but we request that you leave it undisturbed. We consider all relics on the place to be part of the property. Just as you wouldn’t take our silverware home, we expect you will leave any relics you happen upon undisturbed.

Water skiing and jet skiing are available at nearby Lake Alatoona

Plenty of great golfing nearby with Marietta Country Club, Cobblestone and Brookstone Country Club
