Fabulously funky basement apartment with its own entrance. Ideal for vacationing couple who want London on their doorstep. Complimentary welcome pack including wine, teas, coffee and snacks etc.
Ideal for business. Only a 10 min cab ride from Paddington with its express train to Heathrow airport.
Ladbroke Grove tube station is our nearest tube station and is a gentle 10 minute stroll away through a pretty local park with lots of flowers.
The studio apartment is small and compact, but has everything you could possibly need and is very, very comfortable. That's why it's "perfectly petite" - you'll love it!!
Keywords: Studio Apartment within a new basement, built by us 3 years ago. It is underground but very, very bright.
Married couple, Philip and Cassie live in the main house and they have twin daughters and a baby boy.
Philip McCabe purchased this studio in 2005
Cassie is a born and bred Notting Hill-er.
Very quiet residential street yet minutes from the hustle and bustle of the world famous Notting Hill scene.
Our two weeks were wonderful. Lovely kitchen allowed jet-lag middle of the night reading & tea drinking privacy for sleeping partner. :) ---not to mention money saving food prep.
Quiet respite following busy days touring about London.
#7 bus a great feature.
Safe and cozy.
Perfectly Petite was a wonderful way enjoy a real London neighborhood while also having quick access to the touristy sections of the city.
Our plane from Iceland was delayed and we arrived in London much later than expected. Nonetheless, Philip was waiting at the house for us when we finally arrived, ready to cheerfully show us around. He was a wonderful host and made sure to answer any questions we had, as well as tell us about area attractions (he even took the time to walk us to the #7 bus stop and explain its schedule).
As other reviews mention, Perfectly Petite is a smaller space, but we found it to be very cozy and a great place to retreat after the hustle and bustle of central London. Whether returning from dinner at a local pub or bringing home dinner from a place like Ottolenghi, we enjoyed walking back into the cute neighborhood and pretending that we lived in England for a week.
Perfectly Petite is highly recommended and Philip does everything he can to make you feel as welcome as possible.
The Petite Chalet saved our honeymoon! After an unexpected and stressful exodus from our other London vacation rental, we found Perfectly Petite, and Philip came to our rescue!
When we called Philip at 2000, the apartment was already cleaned from the people that checked out earlier that day, and he was ready to give us the full tour upon our arrival! He had two different types of beer, wine and dark chocolate waiting in the fridge. Need I say more?
It’s petite, but you will be more than comfortable, and you can’t beat the customer service!
We stayed at the aptly named Perfectly Petite Suite for 3 wonderful days for a portion of our recent Honeymoon. The apartment was clean, wonderfully designed with compact space in mind, and beautifully lit. The welcome package was so thoughtful and although Philip was out of town, his wife Cassie and their children were fabulous and welcoming (sorry for surprising you!). This flat is perfect for a traveling couple and is seconds away from the No. 7 bus line and a quick 10 min walk from the tube station. We happily slept in daily (the Murphy Bed is so comfortable!) and whiled away the hours wandering through London, with a nice quiet and safe walk home each night. If we ever come ask to the Lonon area, we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended! Thanks for a wonderful stay!!
Selecting this rental was a fantastic choice for us. The two of us spent 10 nights at this location - and make no mistake this location was perfect. We did not want to stay in the heart of London - we wanted a quieter, safer location. Once Philip showed us a short cut out the back door (literally a 2 minute walk) to the #7 bus - London was our oyster. The #7 takes you to Ladbroke Grove station and from there you can get anywhere. To make your traveling by bus or tube easier I recommend going on line and pre-purchasing your visitor oyster card which is mailed to you pre-loaded. It was so great that when arrived we took the tube from Heathrow to Ladbroke Grove and walked from there to Philip's place. As advertised the rental is 'Perfectly Petite' - but it has everything. Working washer/dryer, fridge, tv, comfortable murphy bed, and excellent wifi. Because we had 10 full days in London we were out sightseeing most of the time - but happy to have a nice quiet place to return to each evening. Philip was fantastic - before I even got there if I had a question I could just phone him and he was happy to help. He has the rental full of maps and traveler books, transit information, restaurant recommendations, even an umbrella - which you will need. You will be within walking distance of the famous Portobello Market which is a great place to while away some time. Philip was always around to give a hand, he was even kind enough to help us out with booking a car service back to Heathrow for the end of our stay. By the way we can't thank him enough for his recommendation for the pub 'The Cow', we had a number of excellent meals, and excellent ales - and yes Philip we did have Guinness - and you were right it was delicious. This pub is the quintessential English pub - fantastic food and great people and only a 15/20 minute walk away. We were very pleased with the rental we selected, Philip made things very comfortable for us, our stay in London was amazing, and we recommend this rental and would stay there again ourselves.
2 of us stayed here for 3 nights and absolutely loved this studio apartment. The thoughtful welcome basket provided us with perfect late night snacks after our days on the town. The flat was small, but very neat and well stocked with all of the necessities for our stay. All of the utilities worked well and we were very happy with the convenient and speedy wifi connection. The area is very homey and not too far from the nearest underground, which we took advantage of every day. All in all, we had a great time in London and we would highly recommend Perfectly Petite to any future visitors.
