Central to everything on Mount Desert Island, this spacious four bedroom home on almost 3 private acres is just one tenth of a mile from the Aunt Betty Pond access point on Eagle Lake Road, 0.5 miles from the Eagle Lake Carriage Trail Entrance, and a 5 minute drive from downtown Bar Harbor (3.5 miles). Being located on Eagle Lake Road means you are never too far from everything going on during the summer on Mount Desert Island. The nearby Eagle Lake entrance to Carriage Trails provides access to 57 miles of bike trails. National Park Headquarters is less than a half mile away. Two miles down the road is the entrance to the famous Loop Road, which will take you to the top of Cadillac Mountain, Sand Beach, and Jordan Pond. Three miles down the road is Kebo Valley, a public 18-hole golf course -- and one of the top 100 classic courses in the USA. Nightlife and restaurants are in the town of Bar Harbor, just 3.5 miles away (takes 5 minutes by car).

  • The upstairs master bathroom features a jacuzzi tub for relaxing after a hard day of biking or hiking. Also upstairs is a full bath shared by bedrooms 2 & 3. There is a full bathroom downstairs in the daylight basement where bedroom 4 is located. A half bath is centrally located on the main floor.

Light and airy with view to the backyard, sleep with the screen windows open and enjoy the fresh Maine air at night. The second bedroom has two single beds in it with views to the front yard. The third bedroom upstairs is smaller but has a very comfortable double poster bed and a nice view of the backyard. For a second couple, or older children, the downstairs offers privacy and a spacious living area with futon, television, and arts & crafts area.
